How you expect to mine in a pool(assuming you're not planning to mine solo with just a 290x) without specifying pool server? :s11::s11:
i thought this is pool server ?
{
"pools" : [
{
"url" : "stratum+tcp://hk.ltcrabbit.com:3335",
"user" : "xxx",
"pass" : "xxx"
},

Try out your configuration in other pools first.
im running ur settings with the thread to 8192 and it works , getting less errors now thanks.
running the settings thru a .bat file

anyone using CGminer ?
my HW error like very high, why ah ?
using 290x mining at int 13. fan speed at 70percent.

Then you need to down clock your card. I UC my pair of 290 to 900MHz core and 100% fan to run stably. Else if it gets too hot, there will be errors.

Its like running prime95 on CPU. Errors in GPU hashing does not affect gaming performance but affects hashing accuracy so the block gets rejected.

You should convert. Nvidia cards aren't the best when it comes to mining.

Btw, me mining ltc right now...... Slow and painful..... Only around 4MH/s.....zZzZzZzZ

It has dropped to 14 and lower before after China banned bitcoin trading but it still bounced back up.

To be specific. A board can support a max of 6 gpus if you run on Linux. Windows as far as I know 4. Most miners use risers to save bandwidth of the pcie slots. It's not necessary to have the long Pcie 16x slots to run gpus for mining.

Its 20+ right now. But I would say still plenty of interest. Its hard to mine due to scrypt.

Huh? It's hard to mine due to scrypt? It's because of scrypt that we gpu miners still got chance. It's SHA of bitcoin that makes gpu miners no chance.
