Many thanks!! :D:D:D

How do we get our temps down? I am trying to undervolt but catalyst only has option of reducing power by percentage. The problem is:
1. Cannot select which card to undervolt
2. Reducing power doesn't have an effect on temperature.

Do we unervolt by scrypt or driver?

some cards are voltage locked so you need to either hack the bios or use 3rd party software but you got to be careful not to brick your card.

DDwtjkT4pcrK9VWoaynZUwMjnDB4jUmceR

started mining dogecoins a few days ago, only have few hundred so far.

using an old 6950 to mine on dogehouse, getting about 340kh with intensity 16.

probably buying a r9 280x to replace it soon though, my current 6950 is starting to make a 'whiny' sound when the fan is on low speed, i think going to up lorry soon

Unfortunately dogecoin is rapidly reaching the 100,000th block, after which the payout will be halved per block. Difficulty is also approaching 2000. Wolong must be pretty rich now with his billion doge stash

You can get all the hash details here

Once the halving happens, difficulty will be higher of course but value in theory will go up also because there'll be lesser coins but no worries,we're talking about billions of coins more left to be mined. But the important factor is if anyone is using dogecoin or backing it.So just keep on mining, selling, buying and donating!

Can we mine with an old AMD Phenom X2 with a biostar TA790GX motherboard.

I was thinking of putting my second 280X in there as my system can't run with 2 cards..... too hot!!!!

I will need to get another PSU though as my old one doesn't have enough headers for the graphics card.

The cost just keeps increasing!!

Honestly its VERY VERY hard to recoup your expenditure now with the increased difficulty. It'll be better if you jumped 1 month back and if you ALREADY had some gfx cards to mine.

As to your first Q,mine with the cpu? Sure but it'll be super slow and a waste of time. But you meant is the cpu and mobo functional? It doesn't matter because its the gpus that do the work

No, I meant using that old system with one of my 280x to mine. Is that old system compatible with these new cards?

Did the difficulty just increase yesterday? I find the shares to coin ratio dropped a lot. I was happy if can get 8000 doge a day with my current setup but now don't think can reach that figure.
