Anyone know if wattage calculation is accurate prediction of electricity bill ? E.g I am using 3 x r9 270 total watt @ 490 watt , using coinwarz , I will be paying around sgd $90 running 24 / 7 for a month ?

If i not wrong, electricity from SP is $0.2565/kWh

So that means, per hour of 1 killoWatt it's 25.65cents

if take 490watts, for 24/7 for a month

0.49 x 24 x 30 x $0.2565 = $90.50 / month

sounds about right

Will Nvidia Take The Cryptocurrency Mining Crown From AMD ?

Nvidia didn’t breathe a word of Maxwell’s seriously improved hashing ability in their marketing copy or press briefings, but Tom’s Hardware discovered it, and I’ve been able to replicate their findings with multiple 750 Ti cards from both Nvidia and PNY.

What you’re looking at in the image above is a hashrate of about 242kh/s using Nvidia’s reference 750 Ti 1GB graphics card ($139). This is significant for several reasons. First, the 750 Ti is a 60Watt card and doesn’t even require a PCI-E power connector. You could plug this card into a cheap box from HP or Dell with a 300W power supply and have power to spare. Second, the temperature never seems to breach 65 degrees Celsius, and it runs considerably quieter and cooler than the AMD 260x ($119), which achieves a peak hashrate of 206kh/s and consumes nearly 130Watts of power.

“Hold on a minute!” I can hear you saying. “AMD’s 260x is $20 cheaper than Nvidia’s entry-level 750 Ti!” That’s true, but the nominal price difference quickly evaporates when you consider how the 750 Ti sips power, which matters in the long run. Additionally, Tom’s Hardware ran the same mining environment test with AMD’s upcoming Radeon 265 ($149) and achieved a peak hashrate of 252kh/s — and remember that the Radeon 265 is a 150Watt card

Thoughts on Maxwell?

If a non real 28nm maxwell can increase 60% performance per watt. Imagine the real 20nm. I think the top end might just win be able win 290x . But amd will come out with a newer one. Hahaha! Never ending cycle.

I don't think have one that is SAFE.
You choose one exchange then exchange Doge to BTC then sell your BTC.
Then pray you get your money.

I have to correct you on that. You can apply for a citibank US account or know someone in the states and link their bank account to coinbase.com

Then simply send your bitcoins to account and encash :) Of course it goes without saying send you someone you trust

There's no real need to worry, esp since bitcoin has been thru so much ups and downs. Just keep calm and mine on :)

Of cos people who invested heavily in it will try to be optimistic.

Rule is only speculate with $$$ that you can afford to lose.

Crytocoin is a speculation not an investment.

Well Im optimistic about the future of cryptocurrency, not because i invested heavily in it, but more so in the way how its paving new grounds for how transactions can be done in the future.

If ur going to speculate about crypto, chances are ur more likely to end up getting burnt.

Anonymous & no regulator/enforcer is not going to work.
People will keep on cheating/stealing/exploiting and get away with it.

Even exchange can take all money and run.

Actually bitcoin is very traceable, even more than dollar since every transactions are on the blockchain. If Satoshi move 0.000001 btc, the whole world will know instantly. When someone steal your bitcoin and if he transfer the money to an address on an exchange he will be caught, if he spend on any merchant, he will be caught. His only chance is to wait till you forget to keep an eye on it.

An exchange have nothing to do if the money is good or bad. Madoff, Lemon bro happened but no one give a ****. HSBC laundered billions of drug cartel money and only have to pay a 4 weeks profits fine.
