Are you guys able to post on the diablo 3 forum at blizzard's site?

I'm don't have d3 beta but have a starcraft 2 acc...anyway from what I understand is anyone with a battlenet account should be able to post on their general section and only d3 beta user can post on the beta user section (so can report bugs)

Problem is I can't post on their general discussion, when I tried to post it said character cannot be found

just to tell bros who dont know this: combat in d3 is handled client side, which means that even when latency is high, there is no lag in hitting monsters... e delay comes when there are items to pick up, chests to open etc..

So does client side mean it will be handled by our CPU?

Because most things measured by speedtest have absolutely nothing to do with how well D3 will run on your connection.

PS: my mom took my 19" Samsung LCD thus have to get a new 1.

IPS is the panel type used to make the monitor. There are a few different types but mainly TN panels and IPS panels. TN panels are supposed to have worse viewing angles, worse colors, but less input lag, thus better for gaming especially FPS. IPS panels have better viewing angles, better colours but more input lag, and generally more expensive too, thus better for non-gaming purposes.

But technology has come along way so most IPS panels are have decent response times now, and most TN panels don't have horrible colours too, for example the Samsung S27A950D is a 120hz TN panel but it's colours are almost comparable to IPS monitors. On the other hand, the input lag of most IPS monitors won't be noticed unless you're a very fussy/pro gamer.

I was deciding between 120hz TN panel (which gives better fluidity especially in FPS) and IPS panel, but decided to go IPS for D3 since you don't have twitch motion like you do in FPS and I'll probably enjoy the better colours/resolution more.

Erm, not really, where did you ping to? you have to ping the D3 servers to get an accurate result.

On the subject of lag

50ms very good one already... Even 150ms is still okay... 200ms can feel something is off... 250ms up you feel the lag... And it will start to affect your fps as the game gets choppy.

Haven't researched this much, will Singapore get battle.net server or do we have one already?

If D3 follows d2 server model, then connection to USA will not impact ur gaming as your connection to us server is only for matchmaking and rmah, not actual gameplay. d3 is not mmo where the game instance is on the server.

If d3 follow d2 then the player is host and 3 others will join his game running on his PC. D2, warcraft3 and dota all follow this model.

Waited from 1999 for this game.
Its a pity for what it is.
The graphics are way too mainstream for a 2012 game.
Even the gameplay is so so.
To top it up no pvp yet, I hope they are not gonna make us buy expansion for it.

But pvp is somthing that should just be implemented from start.
Not somthing to create an expansion for and charge for it.. Seriously considering boycotting this game due to blizzard..
