Rumour has it that iPhone 6 could be launched in May 2014 but I doubt so, no doubt hope so as the screen size really needs to be bigger.
They can do like what Samsung is doing ie: have 2 launch cycles. A bigger phone launched in summer and smaller phone launched in fall

I think the bezels are there to protect the screen by absorbing shock in case of a drop. That's why you see the samsung phones all crack so easily.

Zero bezel would look sexy for sure , but I am not sure it's desirable from a practical perspective.

well reports are that apple is (maybe) racking up sapphire to be used as part of the next iphone. apple is trying to eliminate the use of case for it as well. it is possible but not any time soon. i wouldn't want it to be bezel-less, appeals better to me with a little of it

That's why.
Its not there to protect and absorb shocks. Not just samsung. You throw your iphone also can crack, though not as common as samsung, because samsung use cheap materials.
