yeah im thinking of buying at 1.35. even current level of 1.352.

but problem is im not sure of the end point. Im still new to fx. I hope to be able to see a 1.4(but i know no one can promise me that)

Use charts and find the previous end point. That should at least give you some idea on technicals. If you are trading USD vs SGD, you need to read about fundamentals too - Monetary Actions from US as well as SG.

Chart is 1 of your friends. Use them. And keep reading for more knowledge and stay abreast of news.

Traditionally yes, but it absolutely makes no sense for JPY to rise, if there is any threat from NK.

Please allow me to explain. I found it through research some time ago.

Nihonjin very loaded wan. Japanese investors have a lot of investments outside of Japan. So when there is a sell off in offshore assets JPY demand will increase when dollars are converted back to JPY.

I only said Japanese investors are 'loaded' not like some joker bring housewives out and compare. :s13: That includes BOJ, Hedge Funds and Investment Banks. The cheap credit makes it easy for them to rollover debt.

Yes BOJ issues an insane amount of debt for bond and ETF purchases to stimulate the economy to create the much needed 2% target inflation.

FOREX: It was a fairly quiet affair during the Asia-Pacific session, the dollar was mostly unchanged against its peers, but with one small exception. Aussie-dollar was a mild out-performer, climbing from $0.7947 to $0.7996 underpinned by better-than-expected local data, July building approvals came in -1.7% m/m against -5.0% m/m expected, also, Q2 construction work was solid, coming in at +9.3% q/q against MNI's median of +1.0% q/q. Aussie was last at $0.7990. Dollar-yen trekked higher from Y109.55 to Y109.92, the move was supported by demand into today's Tokyo-fix. Dollar-yen was last at Y109.72 and almost unchanged from this morning's open. Kiwi dropped from $0.7265 to $0.7232 following RBNZ's Wheeler, 'a lower kiwi is needed' comment. Kiwi recovered quite quickly and was last at $0.7263. Meanwhile, Euro-dollar currently trades at $1.1976 and Cable at $1.2927, after trading in respective ranges of $1.1963 to $1.1979 and $1.2918 to $1.2929.

Yes Japan's QE is about or 10 years already. :s13:

Rich or not rich. Japanese scared to spend money. They tighten their purses due to deflation. Anticipating cheap can be cheaper so they hold off big ticket purchases. With zero interest rates they want to save even more to make up for it.

Are you guys ready to huat?

This is one of those rare days where money can fall from the sky because of the volatility even if you anyhow hantum long or short positions. :s13:

The timings morning sg time 10 to 11am plus and afternoon 2.30 to 3.30plus, these are central banks flooding market with funds? Will it happen indefinitely? Maybe they run out of funds eventually?

Central banks where will run out of bullets? Just key in some digits into the system and create money out of thin air. :D

Fiat currencies exist base on confidence only.
