this kind of situation i experienced before. ordered a lot of 25GBP polos. invoice wrote 25GBP, quantity 2, subtotal 50GBP.

then in the airwaybill becomes 50GBP, quantity 2, subtotal 100GBP!
called DHL and asked them change airwaybill needs some admin fee of $100-$200 which is crazy. so what I did was to pay DHL first, take receipt and email fredperry to tell them to reimburse me for the unexpected charges. they are kind enough to do so.

u must act angry and 大牌 :s13:

this is lame, why are you being taxed for a total purchase below 400SGD?

Postal Parcels, Bringing goods into Singapore by parcel post
Do I have to pay duty and GST if my overseas friend sends me gifts via parcel post?
GST relief is granted on goods excluding dutiable products imported by post to a total value not exceeding $400. Where the value exceeds $400 or the goods are dutiable such as liquors and cigarettes, the entire sum would be subject to GST and/or duty. Please click here for more information on clearance procedures of postal parcels.

Q5 I have a consignment of garment arriving by air. The value is $500/-. Can I be exempted from applying for a Customs permit and also can GST relief be granted for the consignment?
A GST relief could only be granted for air import (except liquors and tobacco products) if the CIF value does not exceed $400/-. Since the import value of your air consignment exceeds $400/-, you are required to pay GST on the goods. Please apply for a Customs GST Payment permit to cover the import of your goods.
