A program to calculate the backdated returns and dividends if I were to invest in an alternative stock would be good.

Say I invested in STI instead of Keppel 2 years ago with the same capital say $10k, what would be the amount now? Good for me to fine tune my asset allocation.

China fourth-quarter growth slows to 6.8 percent, weakest since 2009

BEIJING (Reuters) - China's economy grew 6.8 percent in the fourth quarter from a year earlier, matching expectations and the slowest since the global financial crisis, putting pressure on Beijing to roll out more support measures as fears of a sharper slowdown panic investors.

Chinese leaders have been struggling to put a floor under cooling activity, even as a renewed plunge in the country's stock markets and the yuan currency CNY=CFXS have stoked worries that conditions in the world's second-largest economy may be rapidly deteriorating.

After being a major locomotive of global growth in recent years, China is locked in the midst of a protracted slowdown, weighed down by weak exports, factory overcapacity, slowing investment, a soft property market and high debt levels.

Analysts polled by Reuters had predicted Oct-Dec gross domestic product (GDP) growth of 6.8 percent, easing from 6.9 percent in the third quarter. It is the weakest pace of expansion since the first quarter of 2009, when growth tumbled to 6.2 percent.

Full-year growth was 6.9 percent, roughly in line with the government's target of around 7 percent but the slowest pace of expansion for China in a quarter of a century. Economists had expected 6.9 percent.

Analysts polled by Reuters expect the economy will lose more momentum this year, forecasting growth will cool to 6.5 percent even if Beijing ramps up fiscal spending and cuts interest rates again, as widely expected.

Tuesday's data suggest no material change in what most economists have been telling the world for years: China's economy is cooling gradually from sizzling double-digit growth rates to a hopefully more sustainable pace in the mid-single digits, with no signs yet of a hard landing which investors fear.

http://www.todayonline.com/business/airbus-plan-heralds-iran-boom-after-sanctions-lifted

DUBAI - A purchase of more than 100 aircraft from Europe's Airbus may be one of Iran's first big deals in a trade and investment boom that could reshape the economy of the Middle East.

"The legs of Iran’s economy are now free of the chains of sanctions, and it’s time to build and grow,” President Hassan Rouhani tweeted on Sunday, a day after world powers lifted sanctions on Tehran in exchange for curbs on its nuclear program.

Hours earlier, his transport minister Abbas Akhoondi told the Tasnim news agency that Iran intended to buy 114 civil aircraft from Airbus - a deal that could be worth more than $10 billion at catalog prices.

Airbus said on Saturday it had not yet held commercial talks with Iran, and businesses operating in the Islamic republic will continue to face big obstacles for the foreseeable future.

Risks include indebted Iranian banks, a primitive legal system, corruption and an inflexible labor market. Many foreign companies will remain wary of investing in Iran because of concern that the sanctions could "snap back" if Tehran is later found not to be complying with the nuclear agreement.

But the Airbus plan underlined Iran's potential: with about 80 million people and annual output of some $400 billion, it is the biggest economy to rejoin the global trading system since the Soviet Union broke up over two decades ago.

The nuclear deal removed restrictions that stifled Iran's economy for most of this decade - on banking, money transfers, insurance, trade, transport and procurement of technology.

This will allow Iran to satisfy pent-up demand for goods and services that it had trouble obtaining at affordable prices under sanctions, from aircraft to factory machinery, medicines and some consumer goods such as cosmetics and branded clothing.

Iran will immediately have more money to pay for imports, as the government gains access to tens of billions of dollars of its assets that were frozen abroad by the sanctions.

U.S. officials have estimated the amount of funds to be unblocked at over $100 billion. Iran's central bank has said the total is much smaller at $29 billion, but that would by itself still cover several months of imports of goods and services.

I just want a simple UI where I can see accurate past 20 year of company data, example, PE ratio, Debt level, FCF, Dividend yield, volume, P/B etc... in a table format for easy comparison.

Something like this

M1 lesson. M1 was trending upwards ahead of its results announcement. It was $2.6x just before results. Results were yesterday evening and perceived to be disappointing. It plunged to $2.48 today. If u bought today, u are also entitled to the just announced dividend.

I am waiting for Keppel announcement on 21 Jan. Will it also plunge after the announcement?
