when i went for moi 1st reservist, got pple around say buy genting.
it was only about 30cents nia.

i didn't buy. dat time young, no savings.
should haf told laupeh sell house, sell all lecture notes/books/clothes to garung guni, sell furniture, sell electrical appliances & hooted genting gaogao. 50c to 125c jitao chionged up.

i dun think the image of the company is that good.. when i think of genting, the first thing i will think is that it is highly correlated to tourism/gaming which is in turn dependent on the global economy... not a very good image to have in such economy environment, and definitely not an image that will support its price...

paiseh.. i not pro or experienced enough to value a counter yet... and im not very interested in the counter, so i did not really did alot of reading about it.. but if things turn ugly from now on and earning drops until 2008-09 lvl.. i might be interested in gettin a few lot for speculative purpose, else i will give this counter a pass.

Do remember that genting got those perpetual bond yields to pay also.

Plus the rumour that maximum fine for infringement of casino act maybe increased from 1million to 10% of revenue...

If I remember correctly q1 revenue was about 700million so that makes a fine of 70m based on 10% of that quarter.
