Spotify family plan & Alexa

Hi, can I check who is using Spotify Family plan over here ?

I'm using the Spotify premium right now but intending to switch to Spotify Family when date expiry.

If im user "A" , i have my own alexa..... and there is user "B" with his own alexa at his household, but we are under same family plan, alexa account linked is still tied to my unique account and will not be affected with the family plan bundle right ?

I guess will not but just thought maybe somebody already tried and want to confirm.

Thanks in advance!

I am planning to change my wall switches to Livolo rf switches. I bought one 3 gang switch and a remote to test. Then it dawned upon me that since one remote has only 4 buttons, I can only use it to control 4 individual switches in one area. I googled and saw a solution that involved changing the ID of the remote. I want to avoid having to do that. What are you guys doing/using? Btw I have rm pro. Is there a way to get it to pair with the switches without the remote?

Hi, the 4button remote in fact is only 3buttons as the last button 'D' is the 'all off' button.

Yes, u can pair a livolo rf switch using online remote templates that ppl submitted, go to e-control app, somewhere there is a magnifying glass.. Click n type livolo and u get many results, click one and dl the template... Den lik how u pair the livolo switch button to physical remote, apply same technique to the online template den u can use ur e-control app to on/off the livolo switches.

The only issue is if u have many switches... U need to find different unique ID templates... Otherwise a button may control 2 or more switches as the ID is the same.

Another better way is go n get a livolo physical remote rmt04 model which can let u learn up to 27 switches control... Den u use ur rm pro to learn the freq if u wan app control. Hope this helps!

To all the automation gurus out there.

I have recently integrated my Home Assistant with Broadlink RM Pro, super awesome, now I can voice control my TV, Amps, Aircon, Dysons !
I have Smartthings, Philips Hue for certain lights, as well as Harmony

I am in the quest to replace my household physical light switches with Broadlink TC ones ( My existing lightings do not have neutral wire )

Can I check if i can use the Broadlink PIR to trigger scenes e.g turn on the TC switches ? e.g when someone walks along the corridor or the main door?

Is there any reason why you chose Broadlink? Is it better than Harmony Hub?

Broadlink S2 alarm kit

Is there any reason why you chose Broadlink? Is it better than Harmony Hub?

Hi wmn0610, if im not wrong... harmony hub doesnt have Radio-Freq(rf)... which is quite useful.... appliances such as ceiling fan, rf sockets, rf wall switches, rf remotes for light bulbs or mechanical devices can be used by the rf of broadlink RM PRO. Anyway broadlink RM PRO is relatively a cheap device , although it is imperfect, but is still quite a useful & economical device.

Hi RyanJosie, i think you are refering to broadlink's alarm kit S2 with door/motion sensors ? im using it, it is quite good. for e.g you can placed a door sensor on ur main door and set timing & rules, such as 7pm-7am(nxt day), if door opened, ask RM PRO to trigger certain functions including Scene in broadlink's app.

Example, (7pm-7am(nxt day) + if main door opened) = RM pro to RF signal turn ON lobby light, kitchen backsplash, living room RF fan..... IR signal to turn ON starhub cablebox & TV set.

one alarm kit set (S2) comes with one motion sensor and one door sensor, but you can separately buy the sensors to add to the S2, up to total of 16 sensors.

if you are interested in Broadlink products, you can also check out their A1 sensor, the sensor suppose to be able to sense temperature or humidity, you can oso set rules to it, to ask it on the fan or aircon via RM PRO when certain threshold is reached.

.RM PRO about S$40 - RF + IR
.S2 alarm kit is about S$60 - for the door/motion sensors , & the alarm sound
.A1 sensor about S$60 - Temperature/air quality/Humidity sensor & even illumination!
.RM Mini (IR blaster only, NO rf,) about S$25 - placed in other bedrooms to control the IR only devices such as bedrm aircons or bedrm TV set.

total maybe S$185, quite worthy smart devices.... however Broadlink have more rooms for improve for their app & integration with other stuffs, but overall can check it out if u want something cheap to 'figure out' with for a start in smart devices/automation. :s13:

recently there are local SG seller selling eTouch (broadlink) tc2 switch use for water heater, 20amp, so your water heater issue also settled.

a harmony hub costs about S$100 and comes with only IR blaster (No RF).
Think there's a new Elite harmony hub which costs ard S$300.

hope this helps!

DISCLAIMER: im just a smart home enthusiast like you, not selling anything if you are wondering. :s13:

Have been researching on this HA topic for quite awhile and finally decided on Xiaomi ecosystem. Mainly motivated by the price, quality, Zigbee and the large pool of users and Mi products.

Currently I'm starting with:-

- Aqara switches for the whole house to control the lights.
- Aqara Smart Curtain. You can get the DT82 track rail from aliexpress, they can customize for you, you just need to mount the rail.
- Aqara Smart Door lock
- Mi sensors
- Mi Air purifier
- Mi Roborock vacuum cleaner
- Yeelight smart bulb

After that, slowly add on with voice control, Mi AI Speaker Mini just announced.. It's quite interesting as it allows you to configure your own trigger phase. When things are more stable, probably I'll try HomeBridge to make Siri works.

There will be some limitation on this setup thou, as Xiaomi has no UK plug. Although it can be overcome by changing your wall socket to CN version or use an adapter and also you can rewire the power cable to CN/UK version. As of now, I don't think I've socket related stuff I wanted to automate, so it doesn't really bother me.

When needed probably I'll adopt a second system to cover the gaps. There is no one system can cover all, or at least at a reasonable price.. :o
