iOS7 is not upgradable from Beta to GM over the air on WiFi ... you need to have the full ipsw file for update/restore and can be done via iTunes only.

Not sure what u mean by "Backup data" ?

I think he meant from updating from iOS 6.X to 7 using OTA?

I'm facing the same situation as you right now. Do you think all will be fixed once they publicly release iTunes 11.1 and iOS7?

Most probably. But I just installed itunes 11.1 beta on my Mac. So it's ok now :)

Is Skype working on iOS 7 beta now?

And also, is anyone's iPhone 5 starting to lag really really bad ever since 10th sep? My whatsapp and iMessage is taking like 10 seconds to load up.

For the risk of getting flamed, isn't GM the final version? From what i know those with dev ID already officially received the final version and in dev term it's called GM. Some devs have leaked the working ipsw over the internet.

I used this guide to upgrade. Works flawlessly. :D

For new iOS eg iOS 7, I will usually do not restore from backup and do a clean install to avoid network connection issue, battery drain issue, etc..

And I restore my contacts and notes from google backup and not cloud backup

If you going to RMA your iphone, I will suggest you restore to 6.1.4. Cause officially ios7 is not release yet. Beside ios7, unless you are restoring from iCloud, else all previous version beta will not able for you to make restore back your data using iTunes. It a developer version.

Using the DFU mode will allow you to do a restore. Do a google search and u will see lot of guide.

Tested the set for for 3 day on GM and the iTunes beta. I am a heavy user with lot of Facebook, 4 email account and surfing the net, it not enought for my 1 day usage.
And some apps will have problem with Chinese wording. Need to restart.
