I've used both s6 and ip 6s plus and in the end decided to stick with iphone.

Reason being, most of the 'features' are actually gimmicks that i wont use and android phones ALWAYS becomes laggy eventually. Not sure why so don't go full retard mode and argue with me.

I do think that removing 3.5mm jack is a bad choice.. charging while listening to music is an impt feature for me. Hopefully this doesn't force be back to android

Erm.. just to point out. You trying out the iPhone 7 after being a nexus user for a very long time doesn't show that each brand has their pros and cons. I get what you mean but your phrasing is wrong.

Yes. Each brand has its own pros and cons but the Android ecosystem with Samsung as its biggest player have more pros than cons sry to say. But I must admit, Apple is very good with its software optimisation and its marketing skills. The iPhones are very optimised for everyday usage such that it is able to perform even with lower specs. They can also make people believe that the features they "invented" is "the most revolutionary" even if the it is already persent in the Android ecosystem a few years back. You cant deny that!

When your OS is so open until any tom, dick or harry can put in whatever they deem fit, of course they can claim they come out with it and apple was "slow" to catch up. One has to come up with features that interplays with software and hardware, and works seamlessly across all the devices to deliver the best user experience.

Remember the issues faced with samsung galaxy s4 facial recognition? How many people still use it?

It took apple's Touch ID to show the world how to securely unlock a mobile phone so seamlessly and make payment. And what happens? Nowadays android phones seem to come with it.. and samsung galaxy nowadays have fingerprint scanner and still comes with "iris scanner". And for goodness sake, please go check out apple's history on their contributions to the tech world.

I am sure apple has marketing skills.. but not as good as samsung recently. Something like this:

I have one question. If I need to make a video call to a samsung user who has both its tablet and phone, what app should i use? Will both of his devices ring together? If i browse a webpage in samsung galaxy phone, will it also appear on the samsung tablet and computer as seamlessly as apple's handoff? Samsung "Flow"?

I think it will be a painful migration. But I have two devices-- 1 nokia and 1 ipod touch, where the 3.5mm jack died. My concern will be more about whether the audio lag will be noticeable using bluetooth. Right now, the problem is that when i watch youtube/movies, the audio seem to slightly lag.

But then I am sure the lightning connector will have variants that allow both charging and plugging in earphones.

Apple has a history of removing aging existing technologies and replace with newer ones. It's just a passing phase. Other companies will soon follow suit.

As many have mentioned, all got their pros and cons. Certain features might be a gimmick to you but might be useful to me and vice versa. Yes, it rings all the devices of the person you call but I don't need that feature and I disabled it on my iPhone cuz I didn't want my iPad and MacBook to ring whenever I get a call on my phone.

Apple was good at removing aging technology but don't understand why they had to remove the jack. Don't need to wait for other companies to follow suit. Oppo has already removed the headphone jack long ago and Motorola also removed theirs recently.

This is like going back to aging technology before the smartphone era where we had to use adaptors to use our own headphones for music.

Hopefully their airpods are good as I don't think it is possible to charge and use a earphone at the same time. I do that all the time with my 6s+ especially when driving and calling people...

In short summary, everything is not made significant until Apple introduced it on their devices.

How many actually knows about those tech thing and removable of whatever jacks until Apple showed the courage to do so?

Removal of jack will affect common consumers for sure but as word says, Human Adapts. If you can't adapt to their environment you are a goner lol

It is safety measure so the recall is not responsible but it is a MUST for samsung as not to avoid more incident and getting sued in future.

Why they asked people to stop using it and airline ban it?

You can think for a little while before responding.

While Apple is not spared of incident in the past with antennagate, bendgate and recall as well, this Note7 is unprecedentedly massive.

Called up the bank and checked the transaction. Apparently the transaction was given the green light by the bank. Now waiting Apple to accept my money lol. Usually online transaction if by 1 week the receiver didn't accept the money, it goes back to the customer right? Or is it few days?

It may be a blessing in disguise to earphone and headphone manufacturers. They can finally have the opportunity to put a DAC into their products and improves the sound quality, rather than just blindly accepting the analogue signal from the 3.5mm headphone jack. Those audiophiles are already doing digital line out for years.

Apple has removed floppy disk, scsi port, dvd drive, flash plugin and replaced them with better alternatives. We complained when they replaced the iPod 30 pin connector with lightning, but turns out the reversible connector is so useful and practical that usb c connector is also designed this way.

Most companies also know the shortcoming of certain existing technologies and also want to remove. That why so many companies follow suit what after Apple becomes the first to do it.

Anyone recalls if last year around this time, was the ip 6S and its plus model facing shortage issue during the preorder stage? It seem this year like stocks aplenty for non colour exclusive models.

Waiting for Apple to introduce iris scanner that can be used with ease and seamlessly.

Without the need to.... press a button to switch the screen on, AND THEN slide to activate recognition....

Using gyro meter (Apple's raise to wake feature)

Can't stand how unfriendly iOS counterpart offerings are.
