While launching and fiddling some common apps like nea, app store, activity and setting last night, the battery was dropping 1-2% every minute.

Within a span of 10 over minutes, it dropped from 64% to 48%! First encounter of such issue.

Did a soft reset at 48% and continue to fiddle these common apps and it continued to drop till 44%. During this time, the back of the phone felt comfortably warm and it was connected to wifi, Bluetooth was off with brightness at the lowest.

Strangely, it stabilised at 44% and I charged it. This was the 2nd charge since unboxing. Currently, it stays at 100% despite I received a couples of messages and a call.

Will monitor today and hopefully, it's a 1 time off thing.

Lucky we don't have winter here. But for those people living in countries with winter, it seems that they have to make do without a fingerprint lockscreen?

They have more problem to consider in a winter than a fingerprint lock screen

I have applied SP and a case almost immediately and did not drop or knock onto anything prior. Will make a call to Apple tomorrow morning before heading to QCD or ALAB

In my opinion, you won't want to mess with your phone in winter outside the building with your glove on because it is super cold. For temperature up to 5 deg, u don't really need ur glove. Usually I just stick it my down/ fleece jacket.

mine was a 6s- 64
bought i7-128

back up took maybe less than 1 hr

restore... 1st time hand itchy ... accidentally flicked the lighting cable and disconnected

then try again, less than 1 hr

itunes.

you restore from ?? cloud or PC?
took me a day to setup my iPhone 7+ as well.

tried 3 times to restore via iCloud. was told restore was not possible at the last min (literally, left 1 min den prompt error message that server couldnt be reached).

then I backup to iTunes. restored and most of my apps were not updated on iTunes. had to manually update the apps on iTunes before doing another restore.

finally got it working at about 11pm last night.

Update regarding the bloated IP7 guys - Sent to A.Lab and diagnose bloated battery - even the staff were taken aback since IP7 was barely launched less than 48 hours though. They mention I was the first walk in IP7 related problem

Eventually got a 1 to 1 replacement in the spot. Might be lucky though :)

I'm curious as to how they dealt with it. Like how fast did you walk out with the replacement? Are you on AppleCare? I've heard nothing but bad reviews of A.Lab, though my own experience has been satisfactory, even without AppleCare. I got AppleCare since though.
