anyone noticed that apps keep reloading in iphone 7?

Not sure for iPhone 7 but my 7 Plus I can open almost up to 10 apps and go back 1st opened app and it still shows where it last was. Maybe due to the 1gb extra?

I agree. Thats why I moved over to samsung hahaha! Android, although not as optimised as iOS, still offers more personalisation and control over the OS (which is quite a huge deal.. but okay luh.. androids are still smooth, just not as smooth and quick as iphones). Moreover, samsung phones have lots of features iphones dont have, like fast charging, high res AMOLED displays, wireless charging, SD card expansion up to 2TB (YEA.. 2TB), dual sim option or 1 micro sim 1 SD card, heartrate sensor, iris scanner and now the headphone jack lol! Cant wait for the S8 tbh!

I feel that apple is merely playing catching up. Water resistance, dual cameras (HTC M8 remember? released in 2014), dual speakers (on HTC phones and nexuses.. plus it is real dual front facing speakers not like iphones' one front facing the other pointing down) are all things that android users have enjoyed since 2 years ago. Just that apple implemented it slightly better (aka android users are like lab rats but of course we get to enjoy it first.) Next year apple would most probably include wireless and fast charging, which is present in almost every android flagship since 2-3 years back. HUGE CHANCE! But by then, new features like iris scanner would be mostly mainstream for samsung phones le haha! And thats just for samsung.

There are still other OEMs with worthy features like modularity on the LGG5, MOTO Z, crazy audio quality on LGV20 etc. Android ecosystem is so full of options and it makes the platform so fun to be part of. Like what an android ad once said, in the world of android, everything is same yet different. Can't wait! And that is why I chose to switch from iphones to androids.

The end user can debate until cow fly to the moon, but both manufacturer are the one laughing to the bank - Apple and Samsung. And majority will think there are only two of them LOL.

Apple is smart to take into account 'stable' feature that has been there all along and optimize it further before deploying it. They get two benefits: stable and optimized feature and cost savings.

Is not about how many features on your phone. Is all about what features u need in your daily life . U get what u dim as comfortable and I dim as what I think is comfortable .

I don need up to 2tb of storage and a professional camera. Main stream user don need all the biometrics feature.

Those flagship in androids already shows they failed to win consumers heart as no one are using so call "flagship" in android.

A normal user will not go and root root root and scan ur panda eyes .

At most is transferring of files btw the pc and phone.

Looks like the onboard dac is only used for speakers. SQ from the lightning port will depend on what adaptor/headphone you use. So we can get better SQ if we buy an adaptor with a better dac.

You got 6GB RAM for what?

You got the latest feature for what? All your 100 million users, how many use it?

You got full customization feature but how many % of your users using it?

You got bigger battery but usage hours doesnt increase much plus possible chibaboomz for what?

And they are too - they compete in premium models where profit margin is super high.

The only difference between Apple and Samsung is, well Apple has the luxury of not playing its trump card in terms of bringing 'new' features into their products. They can do minor tweaks here and there and the product will still sell like hot cakes. We can say it's marketing but I say it's the reputation Apple has built over the years.

The only difference between Apple and Samsung is, well Apple has the luxury of not playing its trump card in terms of bringing 'new' features into their products. They can do minor tweaks here and there and the product will still sell like hot cakes. We can say it's marketing but I say it's the reputation Apple has built over the years.

I think it's more of a difference in the type of people who would buy apple and android. Apple fans don't really care much about the features as long as it's running iOS and is an apple product.

Whereas for android side, so many manufacturers. If they don't compete on features, all phones will be like the Nexus/pixel phones and nothing will differentiate one android phone from another. The winner will end up being the China phones which have same specs but much lower price.

Yup. The adaptor has a dac built in. Hopefully, there will be third party adaptors with better dac soon. Good for those audiophiles who have always wanted to use their own dac and amp.

Good for people who don't need high end audio also. Apple can keep the price of iPhone low and those who want better quality audio can pick and choose what dac they want.

Even these days with all the fancy hardware that flagship androids come with, the subpar implementation still remains. What's the point of an iris scanner if it's implemented in a way that I would never use it.

and so i guess that amounts to an user's issue instead. android and iOS are significantly different in various aspects, and thus direct comparison cannot be achieved.

I'm a proud note 7 user who is considering to make the switch to iphone 7+, not because android is poor but because this time round iOS indeed simplify a lot of things.

talking about advancement, android allows you to take the lead. iOS, whatever they implement and you can only just follow.

Most people wouldn't use the iris scanner. But some use it regularly. Really depends on who you ask.

i get e point of iris scanner for doors or gates but on a phone after unlocking with iris u still need to use ur fingers to interact with e device right? unless u can use ur eyes to interact with e device? i'm just trying to think of a logical use case...

If Apple ever implement the iris scanner one day, I hope it works with the HomeKit systems like automated door lock and such. And also it can be used to polish the raise to wake function.

But you're right. Iris scanning for the use to unlock the phone alone is not really a must have feature for now.
