I have an M1 telco set shrinkwrapped unopened that I wish to sell to mobile shop as phone buyback.

Is my unit unactivated set? My M1 receipt got specify the IMEI of the i7+.

What does activated/unactivated mean?

when u turn on your phone and plug into iTunes its considered activated.
and once activated, the warranty will run from the day of activation.

Ok the hiss sound at the apple logo running octane very soft now or unhearable. On video no hiss sound too. After i redownload 10.02 on itune and restore.

But phone call quality is distant. And it is so hot.

talking on the phone long enough will be hot.

That is pretty normal. About the warmness, it is due to the restore etc. Nothing to be concern about as it should go away in a bit.

Activated means you have gone through the setup screen

I guess entering the serial number here will check if the set has been activated since if it has then the warranty will run from the moment it's activated?

Hey, so did you get a replacement for your hissing and white noise issue?

I can conclude that my device is ok for my usage, the white noise is only present when recording in a very quiet environment. Tested with some outdoor/event footage and the high pitched noise is not present.

I will be receiving my replacement soon. They are not specifically towards hissing+white noise although one unit does have significant coilwhine sound.

it think its really hot when doing the installation of all your apps.. i encounter same thing.. honestly its hotter than my note 7 before hahaha...
but in normal usage... its perfectly fine..

phone call the voice is distant and soft. Not easy to hear what other party said.

Hmm read from an article saying restoring from iTunes is not as good as restoring from iCloud. Just want to know if there is any difference.

If set up as new phone all the contacts and messages all gone right? Don't see the point doing that.

Anyone encountered paint peel already? Just noticed a small speck of peel around the silent switch. Funny thing is I rarely used that switch. Feel sad every time I looked at that area now. Got an urge to get black marker and 'repaint' it.

But that also means u lose all your msg etc if u setup as new

Got a bug. I hope is a software bug. Whenever, I switch from app to phone app to make a phone call. The phone app freezes and pause for like 10 seconds
