I'm still using assistive touch. It helps as I can reach for the "home button" and other shortcuts easily. I use it extensively to lock my screen as well. Only recently found out that that the on screen shortcut will lock the phone if you hard press on it as well

what is the on screen shortcut to lock the phone by pressing hard?

Anyone using jaybird x2?

Ordered one to give it a try while I wait for the BeatsX to release. Got it for $120 sgd from Amazon. Still awaiting it, would like to know how others are finding it here too. Have heard some say that the X2 are better than the soundsport bose.

you know the round icon for Assistive Touch where you press to expand? For iPhone 6s and above, you can 3D Touch that shortcut (unexpanded) and it will lock your screen

Been using the Jaybird x2 for a while now, upgraded from the 1st gen. It's a nice pair or earphones. Good sound too. Use it for commute and for jogging, been reliable so far. Especially with the recent promotions on Amazon, a pretty good buy.

hmm, doesn't seem to work for me?

oh, there might be an additional option for that. If you go to

Settings > General > AssistiveTouch > Customise Top Level Menu

there should be this 3D Touch Action option. I did not set it to anything so I thought it was preset as Lock Screen itself.

I'm using the X2 too. Good sound and great battery life. The warranty support from jaybirds is excellent too. I was previously using the old Bluebuds X which was constantly giving me problems and they upgraded to the X2 for me F.O.C. The X2 failed on me once but all I need to do was to mail them the faulty earphones and I was sent a new one. So far it's working fine.
