Current liabilities seem high? Is it due to intercompany loans? Parent leeching interest income from them?

Ignore my post. I dig more details.

I thought initially the liabilities are due to intercompany, i.e. they take money from intercompany and lend it to people.

If they lend to related companies of HL group is fine
The rates are still profitable overall
Usually for banks and S&L
One of the key metric is NIM net interest margins

In fact lending to related business is generally more safe
As you are more familiar with their books and the credbility of the groupto repay the loan
Lending to HL group subsidaries is better than lending to the likes of ezra ezion noble if u understand how it works
Cheers

HLF vs Spura Finance, dunno which one better leh :s22:

Also sg finance very small
Like a small fish in the sea very easy to die

At least HLF is part of the HL group which is a mega billion dollar family enterprise

http://www.hongleong.com.sg/about-us/group-corporate-profile/

HLF the big upside is the parent taking it private
Now 40% discount to nav

If parent often 0.80 PB buy out, u earn 20% riao

A good way to make money is to buy companies
That have potential to be delisted or are undervalued like
Ara glp fcl hlf that we discussed before

Avoid over priced ipo like soil build, courts that wants to milk investors again
