While acknowledging the inconsistencies, Keppel Reit has decided to revert back to the methodology used for the first quarter ended March 31, 2016. For fiscal 2016 results reported last week, its rent reversions included the rental income of new, renewal, forward renewal and review leases for all assets.

By using this methodology, however, Keppel Reit's rent reversions for H1 2016 and the first nine months of 2016 became a negative 11 per cent and 9 per cent respectively, instead of the positive 2 per cent and 3 per cent earlier reported.

tomorrow M1/SH might get sold off hard

anyone planing to buy on dips?

Me. I think good time to kio.

I think the mobile business will ne quite good this year with the new Apple and Samsung models introducing new screen tech which will push people to upgrade.

In any case, the valuations under the expected dividend of 4 cents per quarter is quite fair already imo.

Yes starhub weightage is only 0.9% compared to Singtel which is 12.4%. Thus Singtel reports will be closely watched by the markets

Two more weeks to bank results
Do not forget that banks make up 1/3 of the index
If write offs for 2016 is heavy it may send banks earnings down 5-10%
A 3% drop on banks can send much fear onto the sti, i hope 3000 level is able to hold up

Have some patience to wait till it reaches book value and below before buying any banks. If it doesn't come then look for something else. Move on

Anyone have any opinions on Saxo Bank or can recommend any financial brokers in SG?

I'm looking for long term investing (SGX/NYSE maybe ASX and HSI) but with the occasionally CFD shorts, and maybe dabbling in the bond/option markets when the opportunity arises. Will not make very frequent trades, but lower commission is always preferred.

I have the necessary capital to open an account, but want to find out whether anyone in SG has a bad experience with them (counterparty risk, risk that they might skim additional margins given that CFDs are a proprietary product). Have searched online and not found much about them esp in the CFD/Equities market, other than their questionable (past) practices in the FX market and in the 2015 CHF crash as they do lots of FX. Also understand that my shares will be held in trust with HSBC as well (counterparty risk) as compared to traditional brokers (CDP).

Understand that Interactive Brokers offers the lowest commission, but I want to trade vanilla SG stocks as well and IB does not offer SG stocks. Also I might not be looking to be actively trading if I change to a more intensive job and understand that IB requires you to trade a certain amount or something along those lines.

Thank you for your views and advice!
