Can the same be applied to sph as well? Ever since they sell away their properties to sph reits, sph dpu has been dropping with its revenue.

without seriously researching about sph, it seems like its revenue in advertising revenue off its media, and media circulation is plunging seriously in the last two years. Not exactly a balance sheet issue... more like a management issue.

I like how keppel is quickly turning its business around... this is a sign of good management. usually capable management are grown internally rather than hired externally. For SPH, probably they can't turn the sails around quickly enough.

for me singpost has been acquiring and, academically, businesses that are termed "serial acquirers" usually come to no good end...

Even uncle168 say singpost is no good wor. Must be no good liao.

postage stamp is monopoly for singpost

parcel courier is perfect competition as got many many players

i think singpost is losing money in its parcel courier business

its like the food deiveroo and grab all bleeding to death to get market share

singpost sold its golden goose GD Express

GD is a money spinner

then used the money to anyhow buy ecommerce companies that keep losing money

SPH REIT (SK6U) , I think :s12:
Seems good yield.

its trading around 1 time book value, a decent reit for sure
mid cap also

yield near 6% which is decent

only downside is I think they have like 2-3 property only... so less diverfisifed

but their gearing is pretty low

any advise to average down ?

if SH already 20% of portfolio or more.. just leave it there slowly collect dividends and heal... no choice

if 10% or less like that... ok to bring to 15%

There is a certain complacency about SPH. Furthermore it is a monopoly. Management appears clueless.

Curious, is it fine to split and dump part of my Emergency funds into SSB? Since i look at their TnC, and basically I can withdraw anytime. :s12:
