Ya welcome!
Yes dates all check. All good. Door opened already, doggie bark too.
Now defect check, Then arrange the necessary works.

Are y’all gonna be in Punggol?

if you follow chinese calendar, it will state on the calendar itself which zodiac sign cannot enter. if i not wrong, it will be bad luck for the person. so maybe need to check your maid's zodiac. whereas dog should be fine.

btw, i really appreciate your checklists and updates with photos! thank you!!

Omg, hello!! Yea, long time no chat hahah, how are you?
Now that you mentioned it, I went to take a look and realised my option to purchase just expired on 9 Jan!!
HOW?! I have just emailed the CRM. She managed to give me the key collection date of 24 Jan on friday. Hope she replies soon :(

btw, i am a taoist too. you can just follow this method, more or less the same thing. i am not gonna hire a fengshui person for this. http://www.eatandtravelwithus.com/2017/07/hdb-bto-door-opening-ritual-procedure/
my inlaws are doing this ceremony when the time comes. also, my mil went to see the calendar for a good date.

How many days HDB give us to Defects check?

Found a lot of defects with the flat. I haven’t done a thorough Defects check but woah I was shocked at the condition these ppl handover the flat.

The walls between the bedrooms has a huge hole I can slide my hand under the wall over to the other bedroom.

The common bath barely flush.

The maindoor was so shaky I can’t believe it’s a fire-rated Door.

Gonna bring my checklist Tmr. I think this is gonna take 2 weeks to complete e defect checks.

But overall omg I love the place, there’s a beautiful sea view from left to right, the island view was beautiful too, all that twilight pine trees, river view was so serene.

I only wish that it came with flooring, the headache of deciding what to do with the floors is giving me sleepless nights.

The officer just told me I have to sort out the defects ASAP, since BSC is still in my precinct afterwhich it’ll be a lil troublesome.

Typically it’ll take BSC abt 14 days to rectify defects, thereafter one needs to defect-check their rectification, bcoz it could get worst after they rectify those issue.. for instance a new hole/ dent might be created accidentally while solving the one you marked/ complainted abt. So after rectification it’ll take perhaps another week or so to defect check everything and if there’s new defects, give it another 14 days, totalling 28 days. Try to close an eye for minor issues so that you can commence renovation. If you start your Reno before rectification, they won’t take the blame on defects because there’s a possibility that your contractor caused the damages etc.

Something needs fixing in your new flat? Report it within the one-year Defects Liability Period (DLP) to the Building Services Centre for assistance and advice. Find out how you can do so: http://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/re...at/moving-in/rectification-work-for-new-flats

P.S. Here’s a quick way to submit your rectification request: http://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/rectification

Thank you, you must share yours when you get it.

I heard some ppl have over 70+ Defects with eyes closed.

I hvnt decided on ID yet. It’s a small house 4rm shouldn’t cost so much, quite disappointed w e quotations I’ve gotten.

I might split the jobs to different installers for instance:
Water heater installation ID charged $150 - Sanitary shop who sells the heater charged only $90 without false ceiling.
Vinyl flooring ID charge $4800 - Floor seller charge - $2600 with skirting.
Sink installation ID charge $150 - Sink seller charge $80.
ID says takes 8 weeks to complete - each individual seller says takes 1 to 3 days.

Sure! Haha. I also gotten a few quotations too. But the prices are ard the same range :( but by splitting, would it be messy?

Once your grant is approved u need to follow tightly with the officer, meaning call, e-mail, to check key collection date.
