1) PD door - Anybody using PD door for their toilets/ kitchen? Besides PD door, any other suggestion?

2) Anybody put exhaust fan / ceiling fan in their toilet? For exhaust fan, need HDB approval?

No i mean, i always lock the service yard door before i leave the house. but whenever i visit the next time, the service yard door is always unlocked. i duno why lol.. but the rest of the windows and doors and all, remains the same..

does the service yard come with door and lock???

Report defect? My door open because the lock mechanism was faulty, shut because even e lil Window was windy.

Eek. Could it be hdb contractors? Or wind blow?

I didnt engage HDB contractor cause i didnt submit any defects. cause my house's defects are all very minor and my ID says he can settle all that for me. Initially i was thinking if its my ID who opened it. but my renovation haven started only until next week. so apparently he didnt.. i even texted him to ask him look out for me on the service yard's door. he say okay. if he was the one who opened it, he would have told me.. :S:S

Don’t worry if it is something spectra it’ll go away when u start your reno, these things don’t like noise, just throw some salt around service yard area too.
Most BTO will have because it’s vacant and quiet, they’re not permanent residents.

actually, i threw salt+rice alrdy when i first opened the door. its part of the door opening ceremony. and i threw quite alot LOL kiasu Singaporean :x did you do that for yours after the windows all widely opened incident?

i think i need to do something again. im just afraid my kids will 'see' and 'feel' this things even more cause they say usually kids are more sensitive.. thats why im so worried haiz

Ahh.. i see..

So you mean if i failed to be able to ignore 'it' then it will suck my energy due to my fear? omg. what do you mean by using oil? what to do using oil haha

Hello all!

I went to check around the childcare centres last afternoon at:

1) My First Skool @ Keat Hong Quad Blk 815A
2) Sparkletots @ Keat Hong Axis Blk 807C
3) Ichiban Montessori @ Keat Hong Pride Blk 805C

But out of 3 of them, only Ichiban Montessori can tell me the registrations available date and school fees. The other 2 preschools asked me to register online but I am not able to do it via ECDA link as my daughter is only 1year 3months now. Not sure is it because I duno how to do it haha.. Anyone had your child sent to any of the above preschools above? Can share with me your experience and thoughts on the school? This is my first time doing this and i am very lost. Please guide me.. Really appreciate it!!

Just an update. Was informed by my hdb branch that defect rectification will take at least a month. How long was yours? I ended up having to postpone the screeding date.

Yeah. Going through hdb branch itself and liasing with hdb contractor. Also, i read that we are suppose to go up to the unit with them to go through list of defects, but that never happened. When i dropped by the unit 2 weeks after submitting, i realized that it was already mid process. Was informed by the hdb branch that for every defect, they require to call up different people, wall need call wall people, window need call window people and such.

Not sure if it is considered a lot? Most of it are common defects like grout issue, window hinges rusty, water seepage and such. Just that my front door is not level and tilted such that the top is eating into the door frame and caused scratches and the bottom of the door is jutting out(assuming it is rare as i don't see others mentioning this before) Oh, and my bomb shelter's door can't lock.

I was planning for 2 months as well. But 6 more days to 1 month, so i doubt it is possible now for me. Hopefully your BSC still around then will be much faster?

Cause the HDB officer said after 2 days contractor will call up, but I have been waiting for more than 1 week.

Tried to call the contractor but didn't pick up. Now my ID is waiting for them.

My contractor didn't call at all and didn't pick up any of my calls. I went down to the branch to complain after 2 weeks and they said they will get the contractor to contact me, took him almost 1 week to call back after that. So to answer your question, mine took 3 weeks.
