The ping for spore(my republic) is 200 - 300ms+(unplayable once its over 300ms).
i'm using starhub, getting an average of 260+ms ping... haven't tried it going over 300ms... at 260ms average ping still okay even for ballistics... my favorite mech loadout is atlas 4xmedlas / 1xac20 / 2xsrm6...
i'm very happy tonight because i've really gotten the hang of my joystick/hotas system - with above mech i got 810 damage... something like 2-3 kills / 4 assist
if you are talking about the fps bug (suddenly fps drops very low, like 4) do a mwo client restart... it fixes it... i think it is a memory leak somewhere...
Matchup of the game is terrible (7 v 8 matchups i even got a 4 v 8 once ,afkers are common)
matchmaking as it is now is needs a lot of work... they are already working on a patch to limit only 4 team members in a single group in a random match... (phase 1)
(phase 2) team leader can upsize to 8 team members and matchmaker will only match 8-sized teams together...
when phase 2 comes, it effectively dampens 'pugstomping' (premade teams vs randomly matched players)...
i'm pretty excited for phase 2 because you really see all the battlefield tactics come out when your team is facing another pre-made team...
Game crashes quite often and UI at mech lab became buggy (your bought mechs disappear and you need to relogin to select them) if server is lag.
game typically crashes or just hangs in black... good thing it does not cause the whole rig to crash so usually its just a mwo client restart.
Kinda silly that you can practically hit those slow LRMs coming towards you with lasers but the game does not allow it and sometimes the LRMs can pass or guided through walls.
that's a good idea, you should put it up in the mwo forums... you should in theory be able to take out LRMs in flight with your MGs or Lasers (just like how AMS works today)...
Pretty of noobs and afkers in beta spoils the fun in the game if they are on your team.

The fun is that assault mechs(heavy mechs can hit me though) are slow at turning and moving at open areas light mechs(they are the key to winning matches) can practically own them at short ranges 1 v 1 as they cannot hit you at all (tried and proven)
yup, atlas with stock 300 engine out all alone gets owned pretty fast with a light mech... especially now that collisions have been temporarily nerfed... i used to be able to trip light mechs and then alpha strike...
cannot empahsize enough teamplay... when i do a strike (brawler) atlas... i don't even look at my back if a light mech is attacking... i focus on the enemy assaults and implicitly i trust that my own team's light/med fast strike mechs will get the light mech off my back...
in fact armor for my atlas is almost all front with typically just 14-20 points in the back... this means i can trade fire with other assaults and typically win because of my harder front armor... can't run that kind of build with random teams... nobody will watch your back...
