Whao thanks will have a look.. can I know what info do u usually provide the person? The dimension and stuff?

I read through this forum and some people order their nano blk from amiami.. can I check is it really worth it as I see it has a shipping cost.. will we get tax extra when it reaches sg? I saw in amiami disclaimer they do not cover this portion..

Shipping cost depends on which shipping option you choose and the final weight of your package. For items that the local distributor does not bring in, it is definitely cheaper when you compare with prices on ebay. You pay 7% GST when your order is $400 or close to it. Anything below is tax free; then again, not exactly when the Japanese retail price already includes a consumption tax.

I see..

I have contacted amiami with the orders that i want and ask them for the shipping cost as i was not sure about the weight of each nano block.

I dont think ill hit $400 though. But from the website it seems much cheaper then local distributors even for those that sells here.

For that you'll need to define "long".. Ami's orders are usually pre-orders so you'll have to wait till it's in stock for it to delivery. The preorder dates are not definite, sometimes it can delay for a month when they are still waiting for stock from their suppliers. However after they confirm stock, it will definitely reach within a month. For me, I think that's still acceptable.. But if you go down to days, then maybe it's harder to estimate.

For example, stuffs like Manta Ray/Octopus are already out but Ami still doesn't have stock. Maybe cause they are releasing together with all the other underwater creatures..

So if you are really particular about when they will ship out, maybe it's not the place. :) but good price is definitely.. I've yet to see another cheaper store, tbh.

Nanoblock is always cheaper in Japan (apart from country exclusive) so exchange rate isn't much of an issue imo. I mean whichever Jap store you buy from, the exchange rate is the same. Sg price can never be cheaper given that their cost price is probably just slightly lower than
what you are paying for in a Jap store..

And given that most nanoblocks come from Jap, suppliers from anywhere also pay in Yen and convert to their own currency to sell you. That's double conversion loh.

For 400.. Just split orders lo. Hardly got nanoblock cost price is 400 by itself, don't talk about those Akagi/Disney Castle la, haha. Even Tokyo Deluxe is about 200+ to 300..

Manta Ray/Oct are US exclusives at the moment. The Japan release is only the manta ray coming out with the rest of the animals.

Anyway still overseas now. Heard TBS has some new stocks. Including the new Disneyland pieces and restocks of the Disney castle.

it's hardly long. An estimation of shipping:
For small orders I tend to choose SAL, it normally reaches me in about 2 - 3 weeks time on average. Sometimes faster, sometimes slower. Splitting out the cost normally it's under $3 per item. If the items are really small, can even be $1 per item only.

For bigger orders sometimes there is not much difference between SAL & EMS. I will then go with EMS. It's more expensive. But very very fast. Max 3 days normally.
