Anyone knows if Kawada releases single colour blocks in bottle or any other colour sets other than Basic and standard sets?

I hope the company can release new colours.

The single colour blocks released in Jars are more of display item than for the bricks. They are not worth if intending to use them to make stuff.

Heard you can order from Kawada factory to make a single colour with different types. But think have a minimum qty required and doesn't come cheap.

IMO. Don't need so many colours yet la...if not too complicated. Haha.

normally i choose SAL.. it's much cheaper but takes about 2 - 4 weeks. but because sometimes i buy bigger items together with nanoblocks, i will choose EMS. comes in 1 - 3 days. more exp, but faster & with tracking and insurance :D

If they can release the basic pastel colours, good enough already. Those into Hello Kitty and other customs can use these colours.

I'm new to this.. just made my first one!

Anyway I saw that there are Disney character nanoblocks like Dumbo the elephant and the alien from ToyStory.. where can I buy those?

I heard there is a shop in Serene Centre that carries a wide range of nanoblocks, but wondering if there are other places that retails these?

hello. Firstly, welcome to the family. ;)
We might not be active chatting here, but we do keep up to date with the latest news here and https://www.facebook.com/nanoblockfanpage (personal recommendation of mine)

To help you better understand why some kits are available and some aren't, I'll need to do some explaining. In SG, there are mainly 4 ways people get their kits.

1) Official Local Supplier brings in their supplies
- These are limited as local supplier chooses what to bring in or don't want to spend extra $$ to acquire licenses etc.

2) Local importers
- These are either individuals, retail outlets or online shops that ship in the kits from their own suppliers overseas. Usually at a 20% mark up at least from the original price. Prices usually include shipping and all.

3) Online shops + shipping
- From various shops online (AmiAmi, Amazon.jp, auction sites etc). Usually at good, if not cheap prices. Downside is you will have to buy in bulk to justify the shipping cost

4) Friends
- Asking your friend to buy for you when they are in JPN, cheapest way to obtain your kits definitely. But highly subjected to your friend :s13:

The place you are looking at is known to us as Toy Brick Station (TBS for short) and is just one of the many local importers. They are a toy speciality shop and you can definitely find a decent spread of kits there (but not the extremely rare ones) but they will come at a decent mark up. If you are looking at Disneyland exclusives, TBS is definitely the best way to get them, apart from asking your friends. :s12:

Disneyland ones can go for between 1,100 - 1,600 Yen if I recall correctly.
Can't recall the exact amount!

Disneyland ones can be a problem to find. The kits are not all situated at one location, but all over the entire place...and they can only be found at the actual Tokyo Disneyland itself. (They are available at small shops around..but at a mark up)

Oh I see. Thanks for the information! Looks like my best bet for now is to go TBS. Have a great weekend!! :)
