Mines a Samsung U Level Pro and it detects that with no issues.

But I have realized a possibly Bluetooth issue is that my smart watch (Pebble) loses connection pretty frequent recently. I have to launch the app just to get back the connection.

Depends on the declared value your seller indicate. If it was indicated less than $400, there will be no gst.
