Got buy anything from Amazon Germany before? Warranty issues send back to Amazon?

Here's my take:

1. Buy local set at ripoff price = 1 year warranty but not sure how reliable since everyone mentioned service is non-existent. But things may change now that it's a new distributer in SG.

2. Buy slightly cheaper qoo10 China sets = 1-3 or 6 months shop warranty depending on seller. But you're pretty much screwed if the shop doesn't fix your phone and you can't send for repair to oneplus in China/HK.

3. Buy at RRP direct from OnePlus HK/US = full 1 year warranty but any issues gotta send back to whichever country and deal with OnePlus service reps.

4. Buy from Amazon Germany = 2 Years warranty but any issues gotta send back to Germany. However, you now have a choice of dealing with Amazon rather than OnePlus' notoriously bad service.

i think the choice is clear ah.......

don't need to use forwarder. Amazon Germany ships directly to SG.

it's 569 Euro but once you checkout and ship outside of the EU, VAT gets deducted making it only 478 Euro.

Then they'll charge shipping + Import Tax (our 7% gst) bringing the total to only 535 EUR all in.

Disappointed with local pricing.

Ordered 128GB on Amazon Germany instead with shipping + GST = 535 Euro ($845 SGD)

And it comes with European 2 pin plug AND 2 YEARS WARRANTY with OnePlus/Amazon. Might be easier dealing with amazon than oneplus for warranty so that's a bonus.

he mentioned $780 is how much he bought and which is more expensive then local, i assume that it is 64gb as local sells $719 at 131express and $819 for 128gb

Yes I bought the 64gb version coz i dont really need 128gb. But come to think of it, the price difference between 64gb and 128gb is small.

Edit:

Its $70 difference, quite big for me. 128gb at amazon cost $870 after conversion + tax + priority shipping. I choose priority shipping coz lazy wait for 2 weeks. Can get in 5 days max.

Europe standard warranty for phones is 2 years. You have to write in to Amazon.de

pixel 2 is kinda outdated with 835. display issues. lesser ram. slower charging compare with dash. and more expensive too
