the thing about oneplus is not their hardware. The camera hardware is decent. Its more down to their software. On my 5T the gcam port has so much better results than the stock app.

My brief review.

Got it from Redwhite mobile.
Being my 1st "China" brand phone, decided to get one with Local warranty.

Pros:
- It is as most described, buttery smooth. Very pleasing to use.
- Love the "double tap" to wake phone action. Miss it from using LG phones.
- Very little bloatware and you can sense it. Did not miss Facebook at all.
- 4G signals seems better than my old samsung phone.
- Battery life for my usage is fantastic, 40% left after a days usage. (Gmail (40%), whatsapp (30%), surf net (30%)). I dont play games and uses another phone for youtube.

Cons:
- GPS can be wonky. especially cloudy days.
- Speaker is quite weak compared to other flagships.
- Notification lights can be a bit brighter or distinctive.
- Screen is bright and sharp for normal usage, but when watching videos, it loses out compare to Samsung. Noticeable difference.
- Camera, has been mentioned by many.

Is this phone value for money.
- I dont think so. I believe the new xiaomi Mi 8 will offer more value.

Who is this phone for?
- People like me, who needs smooth android feel. I am paying the "premium" to ensure i am getting near stock android experience.
- People who dont need the latest phone tech advances or software innovation.

Anyone used Skinnova before? Any good? I wanted to get a dbrand skin since it seems to be the most recommended brand but their OP6 skin does not cover the sides whereas the Skinnova does.

cause i cant seems to find the oneplus 6 avengers rom . or it will auto detect it as avenger set and unlock the theme . haha .

if u are using a tight fit case, sides might get damaged when u slip in and out of case just fyi

i only use dbrand or slickwraps. never used other brands before

Thank you for your honest feedback. I'll wait for the first update and see how many software problems were resolved before making a decision

I dont plan on using a case. That's why Im considering full body skins over dbrand's. Just not sure about the quality of those other brands.

Hmm yea. Since it's quite cheap I'll just go for it. They don't have matte black, which is weird. I'd probably get sandstone black, reminds me of the old OP1.
