what is dash charging?
i just like the wireless, pick and go ... no need to fiddle around with cables.

Yr phone will charged from 0-63% in 30 min flat. So even if u forget to plugged last night, plugged in and go wash up in the morning is perfectly alright.

The only limitation is u need to use the original adapter n cable.

If u r mobile, get a quick charge in mrt statuon if needed. If u drive, in car charger will charge in at a normal rate.

If u want wireless charging, the oneplus 6T may incl. the feature.

There are dash power bank and dash car charger too.

The downside is that you need to spend more money to buy more dash accessories.

Wireless charging is far too slow. I tried it on my old Samsung S7 edge, and it's super slooooooow.

Ya wireless charging is way too slow. Wait till they improve the tech to support at least 1.5A charging (I'm talking about current going into the phone, not the inflated one that's printed on the charger itself)

Oneplus confirm Netflix and other content protected video will not cast onto your TV due to HDCP issue on oneplus 6. Not sure if they will solve in oneplus 6.

when will 6T be released?

does the 6 have an aftermarket wireless receiver?
my current s5 has one, so i can use the Qi charger.

the idea of wireless charging is slow, so as to prolong the batt life.
just like your car/bike battery., they have trickle charge, when you are going overseas ...

nope, doesnt mean dash charging will weaken battery life.

One of the main benefits of Dash Charge (and VOOC) is its ability to keep temperatures low while charging. The fast charging option allows you to watch videos or play games while the phone is charging, with no net drop in charging speeds. That isn't the case with Quick Charge, as the higher voltages invariably lead to the phone reverting to normal speeds to prevent overheating.

don't know for the rest I find wireless charging generate more heat in long term may not be good for battery life span.

when it'll be released is anyone's guess, usually 6 mths later.

u want to look for aftermarket one, look for the usb C generic type lor, like this https://www.amazon.com/Nillkin-Wireless-Charging-Receiver-Charger/dp/B01M11UT3V

if want to prolong batt life, not only low current, also need to take care of temp and don't charge to full 100%

During my nexus 6 use it was wireless charged most of its lifespan, after about 1year battery bloated :s13:

Wireless charge super inconvenient too, can’t be used whilst charging concurrently.

I'm oso looking for that color. Seems like the local stores don't have.

It was available briefly on Lazada Singapore for $988 before it was sold out again. I was hoping to find it in local stores but no luck so far.

does it get hot while doing wireless charging?

Generally, all Wireless charging will get hot. It is physics in effect and this method is still inefficient thus why it makes a lot of heat. You could also say the same for Fast charging!

With the help of a relative, ordered the white version and the carbon fibre case. But can only get it at the end of the month. :(
