Lol, it is weird how you conclude lau yah when you havent buy one.

Everyone is praising how good Oxygen OS is, reviewers and users alike.. I guess you must know something we didnt.

So far, it is the best software experience I had coming from S8, LG, Huawei etc.

The OnePlus software is lau yah lah. I think their team is inexperienced and fire-fights only.

From v5.1.6, 5.1.7 till now v5.1.8 still have issues as reported over its forums like fast battery draining, call droppings etc

How to buy, huh?

Then go read apple one la, same what, some ppl got issue. If you take 1-10 person's posts, on a TROUBLESHOOTING forum, and you conclude its gonna have a problem, while the rest of the 1million and counting users have no problem, you are basically saying its **** based on 0.00001%.

There is no bug free OS, software ever. No matter who (Apple, Google, Microsoft etc). As long as the company takes efforts to keep on fixing it.

😂 Don't buy lor. But the good thing is that Oneplus will work hard to resolve the problems.

When do you see phone companies frequently update their software based on user feedback?

OP6 is not a phone for everyone, it's for those tech geeks and early adopters who want to be Guinea pigs to try new things.

If you are the company staff the way you speak will definitely cause the company to lose customers.

I'm not saying they are not solving problems. However, they are basing on feedback which is a double-edge sword.

Some problems in 5.1.8 are being carried forward since 5.1.5 and 5.1.6 which means they remain unresolved. Fast battery draining and dropped calls etc are early problems which should have been resolved by now. As for lousy sound if the company uses a lousy speaker then it's just not possible to produce high quality sound.

Like I mentioned in my previous post the group of software people in OnePlus is still inexperienced in solving problems. More likely they are fire-fighting.

Feedback is one channel of communication whereby companies obtain information regarding their products and services from customers. Many companies also use it to improve their products and services. No feedback means everything's ok and that's the mentality of the companies.

If I buy/use a product/service and it turns out bad I'll not feedback to the company. I'll just stop being their repeat customer.

Anyway, I'll hang on for another 2 months for OPPO Find X/Vivo Nex, hopefully, to be available here. I'll give OnePlus another software update (i.e. v5.1.9) to iron out more bugs before making a decision on which phone to buy. No hurry for me.

Chill man, don't take it personally.

Different people have different need, and thus different phones.

OP6 meets most of my needs for dual sim, big storage, and long battery life that last my usage pattern. My only pain point is the HDCP video casting problem which they said they will solve soon. Keeping fingers cross.

no one goes to the forum and break down how good each and every function of the os is.

anyway... people go to forum with problem and check if others have the same problem.

same as apple os too. and u know what is the most common fix? for both android and apple device? the last app you install causing some problem. :)

1 month in..

GPS is still weird...takes like a min to correctly pin point where you are..
Experience and usage wise, still buttery smooth
I love the customisation available...double taps, hotlink some actions on the 3 screen buttons below...add more than 1 fingerprint to unlock phone...etc

i disable the face unlock, got irritating after a while

I did experience fast battery drain after 5.1.6 update. But everything became fine after a restarting the phone.

oh, i realise i dont miss mobile facebook at all.

although i paid 900 for the phone, i have to adjust and look at this phone as sub 750 range. (1st China brand phone, decided to go for local warranty)

* I dont play mobile games or watch movies on the phone.
