Hi there,

Any smartphone or tablet running on Android version 4.4 and above are compatible with NFC.

May we clarify on which Android version is your OP6 currently running on?

^CC

OP6 uses android 8.0.

i have seen people making successful payment at contactless reader/terminal with op6. User needs to know where is the nfc antenna located and not merely assume the location to be at the centre of the phone, or the top of the phone.

The exact location for the antenna is around the whole camera module.

like i said, for my OP6, it does not work for OCBC terminals. the rest is working fine.

cheapest/best way to get OP6 in SG

Hi all,

I am looking for the cheapest/best way to get OnePlus 6 in SG, ie. low price, reliable, warranty, etc.
I am ok with 64 GB but if 128 GB is not a lot more expensive I can go with it as well.
I am aware that some here have bought from Qoo10 at quite cheap price but I think the offers have expired (?) if I'm not wrong. Today is around $688 for 64GB I have seen.

Thanks!

There are mainly 3 options to get the phone in SG, which are as follows:

1) Buy export sets from Qoo10

Advantage: Cheap, especially when there are Qoo10 discounts. Price for 64GB would range around 640~680 depending on promotions, not sure about 128GB.

Disadvantage: Not a local set, depending on shop you may get a A6000 model (China) but they will flash OxygenOS for you, or A6003 (Hong Kong) which is the International version. Regarding "Warranty", it is shop warranty (ie. the shop you bought it from) and NOT OnePlus Singapore Warranty.

2) Buy from local mobile shops (MHW, Vi, etc.)

Advantage: Comes with local one year OnePlus Singapore Warranty

Disadvantage: Expensive, prices for 64GB is around 830 and 128GB 900.

3) Ownself order from Amazon

Advantage: Comes with 2 year Amazon warranty

Disadvantage: Have to wait for shipping, if got taiji to your phone need claim warranty need to ship back (but Amazon will cover cost). Price is slightly cheaper than option 2 (by ~40bucks)

Ok I see, thanks a lot for your reply!

Would $688 for 64GB (lowest I can find today) on Qoo10 be considered cheap? Or should I wait a while more for price to drop/promotions?

May I ask what is the difference between local set and non-local set? And what is the diff between the A6000 model (China) and the A6003 (Hong Kong) which is the International version? Sry newbie at tech stuff lel

Also, how long is the Amazon shipping?

Hmm, not very sure about Samsung too

Google Pixel 2 XL on Carousell new one is around $750-800 for 4GB RAM, 128 GB storage, whereas OP6 6GB RAM, 64GB storage is around $688 on Qoo10. Not really 2 times the price, actually quite close in price
