It depends on how much risk you're willing to take I guess. Most folks here went for export sets I think because the shops do provide a bit of warranty at least, and with the coupons during 11.11 sale on qoo10, the prices of the phone is below the selling price in US, which makes it worth it. Normally for export sets, I'll recommend buying from places that you can self-collect, so you can check on the spot and get it replaced immediately if there are any defects. (BTW OnePlus phones has a built in diagnostic menu, just dial *#808#).

In general, I would consider OP phones to be reliable. Haven't had any huge issues with them (except for OnePlus One). But of course, if you are risk-averse, local sets would be an option. Basically paying extra for local support.

i see.. if so what are the sites to keep watch this coming black friday sale?

well, mostly just Qoo10, lazada, shopee. Just stick around in the thread i'm sure the discussions about the promotions will kick off when the sales starts. haha. Typically Qoo10 ends up being the cheapest, since there are ways to save more. Like if you have qpoints you can offset another $5 off, or if you buy their gift cards they sell the $100 gift card at $98 (max. 5), so you can save another $10. Then if you have shopback you can use that too to get maybe like another 1% cashback after a long wait (do note minimum withdrawal is $15 so just the Op6T purchase won't hit that, so can't really count this).

Lazada sometimes offers great deals too, like earlier this year they sold the local OP6 at a really competitive price, to the point where you can buy from lazada and then sell it straight to shops and make a small profit. So just keep your eyes peeled on this thread. :s13:

Currently at 39% with 3 hour 40 mins of SOT. Total about 9 hours since unplugged.

No idea why I always experience werid battery drain on Android. Kinda like Linus tech tips, doesn't occur on iOS

there is a limit. If i'm not mistaken one of the limit is max 5 GC within a week. At least that's the limit for me, maybe if you have like VIP account can buy more? haha. But the phone not even 1k, no need to buy that many GC anyway.

What is that PAD app about? Cant seem to find it on Play Store. Was it sideloaded from a 3rd party source?

Rather than playing too much, seems like its a poorly optimised game, from the looks of its icon and the fact that it was sideloaded. Perhaps you might wanna uninstall and check the battery life without it?

P&D, ToS, etc. uses 3D acceleration so the battery drain would be similar to playing other 3D games on your mobile. The battery drain is consistent and as expected.

Anyone tried the Oneplus 6T with any VR headsets?

I am thinking of getting the cheaper Xiaomi Play 2 headset or the more expensive Xiaomi Mi VR with 9axis Inertia motion control.

I am wondering if either of the 2 headsets I mentioned are compatible with the 6T. Or does anyone have any other recommanded VR headsets that works with 6T.

I can't find any info online about 6T and 3rd party VR headsets.

I feel batt life is getting better and better. At this rate i think 10 hrs sot is not an issue. Quite heavy use this morning as im on site. Use it for movie watching, youtube, forum browsing, whatsapp

And i feel my battery drops slower with advanced optimization off
