I use a soundbar with hdmi earc to my LG CX. For normal TV and netflix. When I plug my ps5 in, the earc function of my soundbar go haywire. Like cannot detect. I now changed my soundbar to connect to my tv using optical

same, I use Sony soundbar with hdmi earc to my Samsung TV n when I first setup my PS5 last time my soundbar won’t auto connect or detect when I switch on my tv

did some googling n ppl say to turn off the hdmi earc setting in ps5, tried it and my soundbar back to normal.

Relax, same things happened to us those launch sets, give it at least few days or a week for Sony to update database ... i did my warranty one week after

How do u turn off earc on ps5? I only saw 2 hdmi options. Enable hdmi device link and enable hdcp

I think the VRR function of ps5 also not yet implemented.

And though my tv can output 4k@120hz, I still see games cap at 4k@60hz.

I think the VRR function of ps5 also not yet implemented.

And though my tv can output 4k@120hz, I still see games cap at 4k@60hz.

Have you updated your systems? I had to update my tv (Sony)before it allows 120hz. Also some games require you to turn off ray tracing or set to performance mode.

Mine ok. I m using Sony soundbar with hdmi earc to my projector.

Yea exactly. I connect my soundbar to my tv thru my LG CX earc port.

Then hdmi port 1 to my ps5. By doing so, no sound on my ps5.

So I had to use optical for my soundbar to my tv instead.

CX only accept Dolby bitstream, you can set on PS5.

TV earc option is under hdmi out, then extra options will be available under sound additional settings last option

What game you are trying for 120hz?
