The Feb games via PS PLUS for free look interesting... but, where to find time to play wo?! How many games can you all play with concentration concurrently in one go huh?

Some general info to share.

There are only 2 manufacturers in the whole world who can make advanced chips 7nm or below.

AMD, Nvidia, Qualcomm, Apple etc all do not make chips.
They design them and then pay TSMC or Samsung to make them.

Intel makes its own chips though. But, they are still not as advanced as the TSMC or Samsung. In any case, Intel is not in the business of producing chips for other brands.

For the PS5, AMD is dependent on TSMC. And, thats only for the graphics chip, mind you. There are other components with bottlenecks too.

I heard AMD is looking for samsung to help manufacture the chips since TSMC cannot up their production

Some additional info -

the rumors are definitely there, but when will it happen not sure. and even if that happens it would be their graphics card that i believe would move to samsung and not cpu, since samsung has a plan to integrate the Radeon series into their galaxy phones, maybe mobile versions. not sure what would happen to their console division since both cpu and gpu is more amd.

As far as production goes, the guy below put it very nicely. There's only 2 major fabs that produce 7nm, TSMC and Samsung, there are other's in the mix as well but not successful enough.

With TSMC, the biggest issue is that they are not their top customer, that spots belongs to apple so they would be given the priority, and unfortunately iphone release coincided with console release. Even after productions, its send back to amd and those chips have to be tested to make sure its ok and then only passed onto microsoft/sony from amd. So its a long cycle, which is where logistics became an issue. And amd has always had logistics issues.

AMD might become tsmc 2nd largest customer, if their deal with xilinx go through which would be beneficial in long term, since they might be given more priority. (right now its 4th/5th after apple, huawei, mediatek, qualcomm)

With Samsung, their own mobile division and Qualcomm are the major customers so even if they go with samsung, it wouldn't make a huge difference, but any increase in production capacity would be beneficial.

No time to play now never mind. Make sure you add to library first. Without adding to library, once its gone.. u cant download anymore.

Ya lou most of the time gone within few mins. Now almost 2 hours still available. But i still try my luck to order. Rather than buying from scalpers :s7:

Even now it is still available. Maybe its a website mistake haha

It should be a glitch. U try add to cart 1000 pieces, it also accepts. Probably they opened this for ppl to make payment and wait it out till got stock in few months later?
