In the end cancelled my HN order as my local gameshop was able to accept my order for the second batch (Mid Dec).

I called the hotline and quote the order number. CSO said will receive email when order is cancelled. CC refund will take up to 14 days.

Dang CSO said 1-2 weeks to await for confirmation of cancellation. Seems like different CSO says different stuff

Assassin's Creed Valhalla run at native 4K 60fps on Xbox Series X (No info on whether PS5 version run at the same resolution/performance, most likely will be in similar ballpark).

Observer: System Redux will also run at 4K 60fps.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps (Series X) & Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom are among the very few confirmed titles running at native 4K 120fps.

I think only some cross-gen & less demanding indie titles is able to run at 4K 120fps. Certainly a minority & select few only.

4k/60 locked? Somehow I dun believe series x is capable of that...

the gpu is like a rtx 2080. shouldnt be 4k30 so bad unless they are using full ray tracing

To those who bought from Sony retail store directly, did they also just issue you a hand written receipt after paying in full, and told us to bring it along for the collection? The receipt doesnt contain any PO number, just our name and contact number.

I bought the disc edition, and the receipt stated as PS5 HDD. Any idea what HDD stand for?

Didn't buy from sony. But regarding the PS5 HDD - HDD probably stands for 'Hard Disc Drive' ie for discs

As opposed to DE - digital édition

I bought from sony store. I queued early like 10am and one of the first in line. The staff gave me a receipt with handwritten collection date of nov 19. My receipt has PO and breakdown of ps5 console and extra controller

Ubisoft, developer of AC Valhalla, confirmed it in a press release recently.

“With the Xbox Series X | S, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will take full advantage of the enhanced graphics, giving players the opportunity to experience the open world of Norway and England down to the very last detail. On Xbox Series X, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will run at 60 FPS in full 4K resolution".

As its a cross-gen game, it's likely 60fps is attainable. PS5 is capable of running it at 60fps as well (Next-Gen games only, is a different story. Unlike Cross-Gen). Ryzen CPU of PS5/Series X is leagues ahead of the weak & outdated Jaguar CPU, which is the bottleneck & main reason why most PS4/Xbox One games run at 30fps.

As for locked 60fps or fluctuating framerate, the jury is still out. Have to wait for PS5 vs Series X comparison videos from Digital Foundry in November.

Which Sony outlet did you purchase from?
Mine was Westgate. And the receipt states the exact model CFI-1015A.

I assume they will issue another receipt cos the current purchase receipt states Purchase Date 18Sept. Odd if warranty is base on this date. Haha

I got mine at Sony NEX. Handwritten note. 'PS5 DE' and second line 'PS5 controller'. No model #.

Thats the target or "advertised" framerate, its not true 4k/60 if it cannot hold steady at 60fps. 4k/60 is very tough to hit unless they turn off ray tracing and lower details, but that would defeat the purpose of running the game at 4k.

Let’s be honest: PS5 preorders could have been a lot smoother. We truly apologize for that.

Over the next few days, we will release more PS5 consoles for preorder – retailers will share more details.

And more PS5s will be available through the end of the year.

Sony drop the ball there. Should have announce the start of pre-order date during the showcase and give at least a few days notice.
If retailers jump the gun, then the fault is not on them.
