You can get the C1. The C2 won't come down in price until around September. Just that I'm not sure if the C1 has a 42 inch version.
Ya, C1 48" price is about 1.7k while C2 is 2.5K for 48" and 2.2K for 42". Sadly, my desk can't fit a 48". 42" would be perfect to be used as a Monitor and a TV while gaming.

End up getting an LG C1 65" for the PS5. Used to have a 55" and 65" is a little too big for the old TV stand. (ignore the mess, have not tided up the cables)

PS5 recognise it as 4K 120hz TV with VRR and HDR support straight away.

Running Spiderman Remastered easily pushes it to above 80 fps and there's no tearing. TV recognise it as VRR is on. Tried Ghost of Tsushima but it is locked at 60 fps.

The 4K HDR Visuals are stunning!

Am I the only one not used to 40 fps fidelity mode even with VRR? The camera panning isn't smooth.

VRR with performance or performance RT is still the best for me. Hitting 80-100 fps is so shiok and smooth!

I'm on the G1 btw.

You'll be amazed how smooth it feels when you enable a slight motion blur.
It really helps disguises the low framerate stutters well.
But this also depends on how good the implementation of motion blur is.

The good ones are from Spider-man Remastered + Spider-Man Miles Morales and Rachet & Clank: Rift Apart.

So you'll get the advantage of the high fidelity mode with Ray Tracing and all and enjoy the smooth panning shots thanks to a bit of motion blur.

Don't forget to remove the protective sticker on the front of the display!

I meant to type LG C1!!! Not C2. Typo

Thanks! I didn't notice it's there. That's why it was so reflective. I should've read the unbox instructions, it's stated there...

I guess Fidelity uses both RT and full 4K. VRR on PS5 is limited from 48hz to 120hz so VRR won't work at 40fps range.

Performance RT is checkerboard upscale to 4K thus not as sharp as native but not as straining on the PS5's GPU i guess.

does buying R1, R2 or R3 GT7 make any differences if just playing locally?

no difference, except it’ll be a hassle to redeem an online voucher/code. for instance, you can’t redeem a R2 online voucher/code if you’re using a R3 PSN account, only R2 PSN account is possible.

Finally succumbed to temptation and bought my first ever console in my life PS5 disc ver from Lazada, arriving next week.

It seems PS+ Extra one yr sub $89.90 is more value for money considering games like Sackboy is already $60+. Are downloaded games on the SSD still playable after cancelling the sub?

Wow. One of the most rewarding boss fights so far in Elden Ring - Starscourge Radahn. Finally did it with zero summons. What a blast (literally, comet)!

May i know if I’m using a Asia PSN account can i purchase DLC and play with a R2 disc ?
i have not been keeping up with the current stuff with regards to PS5 tech and such, but previously on the ps3 and ps4, you usually need to follow the disc region

maybe after all these years the restrictions have changed? im not sure
