i think thats the problem when they got retailers to sell/distribute consoles.

one thing is, you need retailers to help you distribute your products.
The other is that you can't really control how they manage their orders. (like why are retailers accepting orders yet only promise the dec batch?)

and if Sony only allows pre-orders through their own Sony website, these retailers will probably threaten to drop the sales of their consoles. (Sony probably don't have the ability to launch such a big product internationally)

That is also the reason why our games still at 60 USD even if it is digital.


then again. Sony should have given out some clear and fair instructions on how to crowd control the orders.

The reason you see lots of online bashing on PS5 is because there are lots of xbox fanboys online pushing their favourite system. The same happened during the last 2 generations, and still Sony outsold MS by many times.

Maybe because they don't have many games to play with hence got lots of free time or MS paid them to bash competitor's products. Google "microsoft shills" for more info.

PS5 owners tend to be the silent type and also more casual hence not much online presence, and ultimately the total systems sold speaks for itself. So having lots of online presence don't mean any thing.

I seriously doubt JPN studios foregoing PS5 and develop only for MS given the almost non existent xbox sales in Japan, do you have a credible link to this news? I'd like to get more details on it.

With the sales of low cost version xbs plus xbx total up maybe they can come close to the PS5 figure but if only count xbx (which is the real competitor to PS5), I predict it will be at least a ratio of 3:1 in Sony's favour.

Not all ish from Xbox fanboi blasting lah, some who do so nao ish know to be PS fanboi previously but nao also blast Sony and\or PS liao.

Think some ish because of LoU2 as they blast Sony for practice favoritism and use 2 rulers when applying their censorship.

Some ish not happy with how Sony plan\handle the launch and pre-order.

Leecent wave of blasting ish due to Sony announcing that they will record voice chat in PS5 to moderate and ban 'toxicity' prayers. This one if true moi also want to blast them one.

I got my pre-order down for batch #2 with GM also. They are fair I suppose, the deposit can be used to purchase other items also.

Just missed out on a physical unit earlier as another store ran out just before my turn...arggh.

So this was 1 heck of a clusterfck pre-order once again.

Play-E and GameXtreme instead of announcing that they will go by those who are on the waiting list, instead says to come down and pre-order. But coming down, no one can pre-order. Cos they have already reserved it for those on the waiting list. So we were just there to add on to the waiting list. Absolute waste of time.
It was only TOG and a few other shops like those that have been mentioned here that didn't take down people's names for pre-order. So can order. But like what people said, only less than 10 available. The rest must go home

Scam. All those so called "authorised" Sony retailers. Glad half the PS5 consoles are digital only. These shops can go die. No one wants to buy the in-store games so no business for the next 4-7 years

Did u become a TOG member before they allow u to PO ? I read on FB ppl are complaining coz TOG only allow member priority to PO and some who are not member which PO the first batch are being asked to become member or risked having their order being pushed back to later date

my 2nd batch Dec PO was pushed up to Nov launch as well. The store that I PO from sent me an msg to inform and oso saw on their FB they are pushing all the customer who PO Dec batch earlier to Nov launch instead of allowing ppl to PO for 2nd wave even though they are one of the 2nd wave retailer listed in Playstation Asia. Kudos to them for doing so

This should be the way! Sony Store also gave me priority once they had more stocks after I indicated interest for the first wave but didn't had time to go down.

I also PO from gamemartz too. It seems it’s only gamemartz that can’t confirm.

The worse thing is that with other stores less than 10 units to pre order. Gamemartz has more than 10 ppl queuing. I’m pretty sure they can’t fulfill all unless Sony decide to release more units.

i walk past gamemartz at 11.40am nobody at all infact i thought 2nd batch PO is OOS
i walk in n ask and stil available so i PO
i only can hope TOG so limited sets is cos they spread their stock allocation
over their so many branches compare to game martz which had only 3branches
provided sony allocate same number of sets to each company so i hope they can release 2nd batch at launch ba

I think likely Sony won't do and can't do anything about it. They can't control how retailers do their business.

There are news of US Gamestop employee buying all pre-orders for themselves and customers don't even have chance to order it. In the end Sony also didn't do anything about it.

I did not trust my first PO from Harvey Norman, since all retailers were literally sold out in minutes but HN were still accepting POs even after 11pm. And true enough, weeks become 99 days, then December, and then March 2021 lol. ******** for hoarding customer POs in full payment when they themselves are aloof about the stocks availability from Sony. That's the real scam there.

Just ignore it i guess, when u actually got the slot, they will contact u to confirm the bundle you wan to pre-order.
