Are the prices of disc different from digital store say brand new?

Physical is much cheaper, especially on online marketplace where you can use coupons/vouchers/coins to lower the price even further.

For eg. I preordered GTA 6 for $80 (See post #19,192 a few pages back). PS Store is $109.

Also preordered Until Dawn 2 disc for $40+. Digital is $60+.

Got Marvel's Wolverine disc for 'free' using the leftover balance from last year's SG60 vouchers (At Wargames AMK).

Bought used disc copy of 007 First Light & Resident Evil: Requiem on Carousell at $50 each (Check their price on PS Store for comparison).

Yesterday saw a deal for God of War: Laufey disc at $72.90 (with the use of vouchers & coins for maximum discount). Tempted but didn't pull the trigger as I haven't decide whether to buy at launch or wait for used/2nd hand copy to hit $50+/$60 before buying.

Recently purchased PS4 disc of Mafia Remake for $12. Mainly for the free upgrade to PS5 version which has 60fps.

Already got the PS Plus version of Mafia: DE in my library but its locked at 30fps, even when played on PS5 Pro.

On PS Store, price is $59.90. This is a perfect example of why having more options (physical disc) is good for the consumer.

Witcher 3 is also in my backlog, having bought the PS4 disc many years ago for dirt cheap (much cheaper than the current price on PS Store). With free upgrade to Remastered version on PS5, there's never been a better time to finally try it out. Better late than never I guess.

Bought my PS4 Witcher 3 for 10 bucks on PSN during sale back in 2021, when not on sale it of course will be listed at full price. Got free upgrade to PS5 version, now free Remastered version and DLCs became free as well.

At some point last year I saw the game for sale at just a few bucks, both on SG PSN and US PSN. The PSN store have sales almost on a daily basis, don't need to buy at full price.

Digital version cheaper of course, though I noticed in some shops the add-on BD Drive price has dropped to below $100, previously was $159.

I think the drive value is still there as there are tons of PS5 and PS4 disc games out there that you can buy and play, and many of them especially PS4 games/secondhand games can be found at very good prices.

I believe PS6 will still support an external disc drive as extension via usb for back-compatible.

there is no asia region code for now. the codes posted are for europe and america region.

you can create or log into europe or america psn account to claim them.
