Its kinda funny. The console community frowns at scalpers selling ps5 but in the hype sneaker community, lotsa people are buying sneakers and reselling and that's not frown upon at all. There are fb pages that have thousands of members inside selling elevated sneaker prices. Some even use bots to buy online during a launch and yet reselling them are totally not frowned upon.

Not sure why the console gaming community behaves differently...haha.

Maybe those sneaker fanatics have a more mature mindset while console gamers are.... ?

Because these hype sneakers are collectibles, literally nobody wears them and it affects nobody other than the collectors.

PS5 is not a collectible, people buy them to play video games, its annoying when people buy them not with the intention of using them, but rather to profit from a temporary shortage. Frankly speaking I'd rather flush my money down the toilet than let them profit.

just got mine this afternoon. It came with some paper contains 3 things not to do with the items.

1. using extended storage my cause PS5 to shut off
2. Rest mode may brick the console
3. using rear usb may cause data transfer issue

googling a bit, all is true. wth sony.
at least the shop is kind enough to let the customer now

at least the shop is kind enough to let the customer now

I wonder if the Dec batch will be fixed? Or is it going to be the same production batch with the same issues?

So yea u flush your money down the toilet or whatever, the scalpers also don't even bother because there is a big demand out there and people are still paying for it no matter any individual sulk, comment or beat their chest to some self motivating ego talk. Scalpers still get their ps5 sold.

So I guess just let it be. Its just a supply and demand thing. If scalping is bad, those people paying the scalpers are worse than the scalpers isn't it? They are feeding them. So basically its like indirectly scolding these people for being dumb to feed the scalpers?

This thread is under console gaming for a reason..for gamers! ...not for scalper to show off how many they mange to get. As a community, if not providing info for other games to get the set, then dont add fire.

What you were trying to say in your earlier post is that you find it weird that people are angry at PS5 scalpers, I told you the reason. Collectibles market is not the same market as other markets.

i doubt so because i believe it's a matter of software bugs/glitches. production batch should be the same though... i got my ps5 and it stated manufactured in October 2020.

Maybe the upcoming ps5 orders could still be in October 2020 or November 2020?

hoping it just a software issue, so they just need to patch it out. if hardware issue, dont think they got stock for a replacement

GameMartz. it is good thing they warn. i have habit to always put my old PS4 to rest mode, never off.

Can try updating to the latest firmware, so far *touchwood have not face the restmode issue, i nv use external storage though.

Tested abit of Astro, not a bad game to intro dual sense controller capability.

Also tried Demon soul, kinda stressful to play on a weekday where you want to just relax. Lol， in the switch to Spiderman mm and Godfall for more senseless web swinging and hack & slash.

Not entirely true. Collectibles toy (e.g Bandai metal build series) also face the same issue. People are also complaining about scalpers which cause them not able to get it. Ultimately if the company is able to produce to meet the demand, such situation won’t happen. In the end it’s just about supply and demand.

Same. Probably wait for a few days. I emailed sony on this issue too. Hope they can resolve it.
