What’s the diff between oled and lcd in terms of PS5 performance?
Input lag is much lower for OLED tv. refresh rate, lcd usually is 50-60hz. Games are not as smooth and colours not as beautiful. LG oled got hdmi 2.1 which supports 4k120hz, and also works with gaming PCs because it is g sync compatible.

X2 gt-ax11000 covered most of my area, wired connection via cat 6a 10gbe whole house. So far even my bathrooms Google mini can still stream music, so the coverage is pretty good I would say

Is PS5 capable of 120hz output at 4K for all titles?

Of cos not. So it maybe a white elephant. If got 4k 60hz for all titles we should arm chio liao. Haha
I understand the need to get a 4K120Hz TV for future proofing but I was not even convinced when 4K60Hz gameplay is not even possible for all titles so I think we got a long way to go before 120hz is native.

I think 3 years might be possible. Money saved on the TV can buy 1 console with a few accessories and games too.

i have a LG CX OLED that is capable of 4k@120hz.

Not all games can hit that. So to be honest, just get a tv for 4k@60 is fine. Unless of course u can get a 4k@120hz tv for cheap.

its not a dealbreaker really.

That’s what I thought too. More like a hype train now. Games are not pushing hard enuff. But if buy the tv for its panel Technologies I think still alright. Mini LED, OLED etc….

Not hitting 120Hz @ 4k is fine but can the TV push 4k@60 for all titles? If it can't then it might be the console hardware that's the bottleneck since TV tech is already pretty up there?

u got it wrong.

The tv cant push frames for any titles.

Its the console that does that. The tv just displays it.

If a tv can display 4k@60hz, it will always does that. It will now be up to the console's graphic and processor to hit that 60hz frame rate. If it cant, for example if its only 40 fps, the tv refresh rate will still be 4k@60hz just that u will see it choppier since the actual source frame rate is only 40fps.

Thanks for your explanation. Which then brings me back to my original point where the console can struggle to hit 4k@60hz, needless to say for 120hz so I think for new console owners, they may want to scale back their expectations.
