it is ok to install the m.2 and disk drive first before 1st boot of the pro, just go thru the initial set up process and let the system run whatever updates and it will register the disk drive and m.2 thereafter

I did not format my m.2 when removing from my og ps5 thinking that it will prompt for format when installed into the pro which is the usual case for the og ps5 but in the end the m.2 did not require any reformatting and all the data were still intact

I transferred my ssd first to pro before booting up the pro as well.

I can see now all game stores have pro in stock

No need to download, I just transferred the existing M.2 SSD with its contents from OG PS5 to PS5 Pro. OG PS5 will be used solely for PS4 games and OG PS4 will be kept as a museum piece.

I've also got my museum piece of OG PS to PS5 (with 3 variations of the PS3), Xperia Play, PSP Phat & Slim, PS Vita. I think all their boxes also still with me.

Only found that 1 piece at Courts in my neighborhood mall. TOG, Challenger, Harvey Norman, Best Denki etc all no stock there.

For 4tb nvme ssd, i can recommend samsung 990 pro with local warranty. It’s around 400ish in lazada

Unfortunately most if not all disc drives that u see in most games shops now are all export sets. Not local.

Recently I just purchased the PS5 pro brand new from a local games shop and was shocked to notice that it doesn’t come with a sealing decal ?

Curious , I asked the salesperson and was told all PS5s and Pros come unsealed with any decals/stickers whatsoever .
Ive watched several unboxing vids of the Ps5 pro and all of them come with decals and a second box (white in colour) within the outer box .

all those of you who bought the pro ; came like mine ?
