Yes, so far so good. However, customer service is not that good. it is my preferred choice formal normal goods too. The selection is right for consolidated air & it will be delivered by Speedpost/Roadbull.

The latest price list:

Yes, buy as normal. So far, they didn't open my items as there was a x-ray scanner & the system will prompt u via inbox or sms (if u have registered) when the item reaches the warehouse.

The timeline for free warehouse rental fee is 20 days. U can consolidate up to 20 items into 1 parcel before paying for the shipping fees to SG.

I think u can buy small quantity of food items via Cainiao direct, 官方直送.

官方直送's shipping fee is included together with the item cost & u need to pay everything together. In contrast, there is a 2nd stage payment for 官方空运 which is the total shipping fee for all the consolidated items.

Just to share my experience with others who have been eagerly awaiting for their parcels during this period, or to anyone interested to venture into this Chinese-based marketplace:
___________________________________________________________________________

The last time I used TaoBao was many years back when the forwarder was still 4PX. Changing to CaiNiao didn't differ too much from my experience, was still the same [pay for items > ship to warehouse > consolidate and pay for overseas shipping > wait > voila]

My command of Chinese has never been great, and I relied heavily on google translate throughout this whole process. It was only during the payment during consolidation at the warehouse page (79 yuan for 3.87kg? Is that the standard rate? I have no idea, I expected it to be lesser as my items aren't even that big or heavy) that I realized I had accidentally chosen sea shipping for my items (technically I didn't even choose as it was the default shipping method although there was another option for air shipping when I revisited the checkout page). I was slightly disappointed because my impression of sea shipping was that it was more economical for larger and heavier items, that it would take a long time to ship.

So this is where most of you guys would be interested in

Items checked out on 4th April
Items reached forwarder on 7th April
Consolidated and paid on 8th April
-Normal inspection leads to delay (declaration / clearance)
Loaded into container warehouse on 10th April
Cleared export customs and sent to SG on 15th April
Arrived at SG on 19th April
Cleared local customs on 20th April
Sent to local logistics company on 22nd April
Reached my doorstep on 24th April

Parcel came seemingly fine, but when opened, one of my items had its cardboard box heavily dented on one side (cue the 11.11 videos - workers rough handling of items). Thankfully my glass items survived - kudos to the packaging bearing the brunt of the damage as it was meant to.

Would it have reached me faster and in less-nerve-wracking condition if I read carefully and opted for Air shipping? I'm not sure - especially after reading comments about Sea being faster than Air in this current COVID-19 situation. Was 20 days a long wait? Yes and No, the delivery from seller to forwarder in China was lightning fast (Singpost please take note), and the delays in both overseas and local customs were understandable. But honestly, 4 days on our side for the parcel to be sent to my door? Our local logistics could take a leaf out of the Chinese's book.

Lastly, a question that I've had for some time. Why would you guys rather opt for a 3rd party forwarder? Is it because they can ship sensitive items such as batteries etc? Or are their rates more competitive and have faster shipping speeds? Or is it just because of the English interface and more "intimate" customer support? I would like to know your thoughts as I would be interested in using such services should they fit my needs. Thank you!

They may reject the item due to fragility of the lamp.. Built-in rechargeable batteries should be fine as I ordered a mini rechargeable fan before.
:)

 I just ordered a mirror 3hrs ago, hope they don't reject.

官方直送 is Cainiao direct, meaning they assume u only got 1 item & will send the item directly to u ASAP.

There is a CSO support located at 跨境物流 page. :)

Thanks for the informative post. For me, i opt for 3rd party forwarders is because they r able to ship sensitive items.

For ur case, I do think the sea shipping fee was slightly costly as compared to the air shipping fee due to the additional 7% GST. I did a calculation before, air shipping vs sea shipping + GST cost abit lesser or same. In the end, I opted for air as my items are light-weighted & don't really wish to wait for 3 weeks.

Using Cainiao Air shipping, the fastest timeline was 5 days for me & longest timeline was 9 days (recently, paid on 3 Apr & received on 13 Apr).

if ninjavan received ur parcel, they will reflect in the system.
It can also be due to **, many parcels reached their warehouse...have yet to scan.
