Fake it for what? You can even track my posts and see if my transactions are consistent with what I shared in this forum before.

I think he meant u can create another portfolio only with the transactions u made for 2015-2016. Don't need to delete off the previous ones

I lost some of my contracts notes before year 2013, so not complete already, might as well don't put.

Furthermore, red portfolio can help to remind myself how badly i have done for this 2 years.

take the time off from "observing" the market during down turns and go study something... be it investing or a topic of interest... anything beats checking the market.

But if u want past performance you can just simply go to ur portfolio statistic which shows annual xirr n total dividend collected isn't it? It's a more holistic way of tracking how ur portfolio is doing over a long period of time.

My past performance will turn my return into quite a big positive number which is not a good indicator of my recent 2 years performance.

But if u want past performance you can just simply go to ur portfolio statistic which shows annual xirr n total dividend collected isn't it? It's a more holistic way of tracking how ur portfolio is doing over a long period of time.

well, that's a distortion of fact isn't it? but anyway its really up to what you want to show. no right no wrong... for my I managed to capture all my transaction since day 1 as I don't have much trades, therefore I will try my best to keep everything as long as possible until SGXCafe shut down. as other suggested, if I want to show certain year, I will create a new account or portfolio.

Some of my 2013 contract notes are incomplete. Then some of them I bought in 2013 and sold in 2014, like that might as well just take out that 2 years to better reflect my positions in these 2 years.

Should have the habit of putting everything in excel for all my years, but too bad I only have that habit ever since 2012.
