Unfortunately, the first things I see are zones with... 3G networks. :s13:

Ya! Depending on "luck" (Where you live!)!

My block is located right in the middle of a zero coverage zone of SIMBA based on that map which is surrounded by 4G and 4G+! However, the 4G/4G+ connection on my phone is still very good at home! So, I'm happy with SIMBA coverage! :giggle:

Heh. Think you missed my point. Simba has no 3G. ;) They don't have a 3G license to operate in Singapore, and so have never deployed 3G towers.

Anyway, I jest. The nature of crowdsourcing also means that data is aggregated from sources, so if fewer people want to come on board and contribute, the data remains less useful.

Nobody actually WANTS to use 3G. VOLTE is not yet prevalent for all telco and handsets.
So 3G is used a backup for voice calls until it's totally phased out in 2025 , hopefully VOLTE is default by then.

Switch to TPG about a month ago and release that iphone battery drain very fast while on TPG network.
Connection is usually 3 or 4 bars on places that I went to.

Anyone experiencing the same?

I've TPG lines in iPhones X, XS Max, 11Pro, iPad Mini6, and iPad Air4, and haven't noticed any unusual battery drain...

do you need to set TPG under APN for your iPhone XS? or just insert SIM and use? Did you enable VoLTE as ON ? It shows warning message when I enable VoLTE. Does this mean TPG SIM is not supported or?

I used on iPX and also 13. Yes, APN need to set. If don't set, data can use, but mobile hotspot cannot. Also, VOLTE does give warnings. This is expected.

I've the habit of going through the APN and then restart the phone, regardless if it's already there or not, so I can't remember if it's already there for this phone.

This cellular network has not been verified for VoLTE on iPhone. Battery life, calls, text messages, voicemail, and cellular data may be affected.

This message? I just ignore and yes, have VoLTE turned on.

AFAIK, iPhones are supported for TPG...

Yes, I saw the same message when enabled VoLTE. Ok, i will go ahead to reenable it. So far I saw signals are quite ok and surfing is still smoother than M1 at Tiong Bahru / Redhill close and Kallang sector areas. another Sim-M1 got the same full signals but was unable to surf or sometimes WhatsApp stuck there a few seconds to send out. Thanks

Anyone having issues with some of their 4G cells? I am seeing the network connections drop from 4G+ to 4G and then the 4G data don't work. Happens at the bus stop at Bedok Mall facing the MRT and also at Bedok MRT EW5 station. Also discovered the same issue at Ikea Tampines.

Okay. Just gotten my 1st renewal just now via my saved credit card with my SIMBA account.

All good!

Time flies! 1 month with SIMBA already! I'm satisfied with SIMBA network as far as I'm concerned! :)
