Thanks for quick reply.
I thought u suggested going to reseller if i wanted to try Simba (for a month) before i decide to port over,
If i go to Simba shop need to request port at the same time.
Am i correct?
Btw i am eligible senior.

Edit again: Btw how is Gomo? My son suggested getting Gomo 10Gb for $10plan.

Currently on SH Senior plan, but 1Gb and 50 min talk time is very tight. Left 5Mb/2 mins since 28Oct
Head down to the Authorized Seller List per their FAQ. The people who serve you are actually SIMBA employees and wears the SIMBA t-shirt. Just take note of their working time. I signed up the senior plan online for me mum and collect the SIM card with her NRIC and signed authorization letter. You can ask the staff questions right there & then.

I went to the shop at Jalan Membina which is right across the road from Tiong Bharu Plaza. Good service.

There is no pay per use if there's no balance inside. You'll simply get the specific service barred.
Including additional roaming after the free 1GB?
If so, I'll have to top up credit so I've additional roaming usage?

Just worried, if I'm oversea, I'll be stranded without data to topup credit 😅

What I meant is, if it can deduct from credit card when I exceed, then I've no concern about disruption of service

You've to top up account in order for Simba to do the deduction when you're using chargeable data roaming. I don't think they can deduct from your credit card.

Thanks for the reply HL.

As for the Gomo $10 10GB plan, there's better plans on SingTel with the same amount of data, but with more talktime and SMS too.

Most people are okay with SingTel GOMO and SingTel MVNOs. Of course, ymmv.

The issue is, their profit margin is far too little for excess charges to be charged in next bill cycle. Also, roaming is included regardless of nationality.

If you ain't aware, Big Three only allow roaming for NRIC/FIN owners for Postpaid Mobile. Foreigners typically ain't allowed, or at least with steep deposits taken.

To iphone users: Has anyone else tried turning off volte (to save battery) and use simba voice instead?

Tried this and it still works.

Hi Mosmos, you using this Prolink model yourself? I bought a China model and it was not good. Speed is low even when I'm near to it and when I go further away into the bedrooms, the speed drop more. Hence I'm looking for router which can provide longer range coverage. Does the Tel outlet for this Prolink model work for SIMBA?

Anyone can recommend a good SIM card router which can provide strong coverage for home use?
personally would not recommend using data sim for home use

will be quite slow; most people use such routers for temporary usage, e.g. at event, roadshow, etc

fyi cheapest home broadband is whizcomms 500mbps $26.90 per month

before u buy a sim router, can just hotspot your phone, test using your laptop/desktop and see if u can tahan the slow speed

Currently I'm on M1 500mbps plan which is about same price as whizcomms. Contract is ending and do not wish to be tied down by another contract and hence that's why looking at using data SIM.

I've tested Simba with my phone as the hotspot and I'm ok with the speed as I don't use much bandwidth. The problem now is finding a strong router so that i can put in the living room while still able to get acceptable speed in the bedroom. The no-brand China router that I've bought is not good enough in regards to this and hence asking for recommendation for a better router.

Your solution would be to buy a mesh system router, not go 4G for home wifi.
