no contract aside, lucky to those who snagged the $32.10/mth deal. 1gb roaming is definitely insufficient and most of us would probably buy local sim for longer holidays anyways 😬

wo piang so exp

Heng haven't commit to anything yet, let's wait and see.
Pretty high cost though... 😧
Previously sim only plus plan 45 & 55

Usual monthly was also $45 & 55 then +gst increase.

But they gave 20% off after that for 12 mths.

Let's see if they will give discount after some time for the new sim only plan

I rather ST remove all the crap 6 months of Disney+ Premium and 6 months of McAfee Mobile Security. Instead add more to the monthly 4GB APAC roaming for base core plan, 6GB for plus and 8GB for ultra and price it at $35, $50 and $70 with GST respectively.

For now ST SIM ONLY recontract best plan is: https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/eform/simonlyplus-form as I have Digi Prepaid eSIM with 365 long validity, 3GB data only RM3 for 1 day, Unlimited 7 days at RM15 or even box of surprise option for Malaysia or even use to buy data roaming for other countries, so cheap.

I think not many can stomach a $35/$50/$70 plan even with roaming add ons minus the Disney/Netflix/Spotify etc. VAS.
I believe anything below $50 tiered might work instead.
And yes, other countries SIM offering are a lot cheaper than us, and provide much more perks as compared to SG, ridiculous af.

Why not, consider cheap compared to those 2 years plan. I meant yes to compare directly with other main telcos sim only or MVNO, SingTel is usually more expensive, plan to go for red team, prepare to pay more, it been always like that.

If is really $35 / $50 / $70 based on own needs to choose for ST SIM ONLY and had more roaming data without all those stupid VAS, consider it being main ST that really consider cheap, I don’t find it expensive at all, based on individual income and their definition of affordability.

The Disney and McAfee VAS is “consider free” but actually they had already factor it in, nothing is free in Singapore.

Agree to disagree, with the current network standard of ST, if they're charging $35/$50/$70 for the NCSO plans, its literally shooting themselves in the foot even with their reputation of more "superior/stable" network.
Its getting to a point of subpar performance for the amount paid. Cause consumers will firstly look at price before anything else, especially in SG where most are price conscious as we can see in the entire forum.
If this tiered pricing is for their "sizing" plans (XS/S/M/L/Pro/Fam), then yeah, sure.

Definitely nothing is free and all the cost are factored in. The only other perks lacking is the roaming VAS, which if included, ST will definitely has an edge with local and roaming coverage compared to the rest.

Not so sure if the no contract e-SIM trial will continue to function after the trial or not. If yes, it is actually cheaper than the new no-contract SIM Only Lite plan (Lite plan is at S$30 but need to add caller ID). From the following it seems to indicate that it will continue to work.

https://www.singtel.com/personal/pr..._campaign=esimtryandbuy_ndp2024_greendot_6jul

Here's how the trial works
1. Check that your device is eSIM compatible.

2. Complete this form and tell us what you'd like to do. Choose to:
Port-in your existing number OR
Get a new number if you'd like to test drive our network.
3. Your trial starts when your Service Agreement form and eSIM lands in your email. It's that simple!
4. Your free trial ends in 1 month. Love it or leave it - the choice is yours. If you decide to keep your Singtel eSIM, stay subscribed at just $30.56/mth.

You'll get:

60GB of 5G data
100 mins outgoing talktime/SMS
Unlimited incoming talktime
FREE Caller ID

$30 no caller id rofl

Actually that has always been the case for the lowest tier Singtel SIM Only plan: no free Called ID.

Last time people would subscribe to CIS plan to get rid of the called ID charge.

Or people would find that after one year they can recontract to the the cheap S$20ish plan -- so they will just pay for 1 year of high price and then be happy after that.

But now need to see if the S$20ish plan will still exist or not later this year...

I am not going to pay higher than S$30 for Singtel SIM Only plan myself, even with whatevr perks like roaming.

I will consider Gomo (or maybe CMLink) if the S$20ish Singtel SIM plans (S$20.37 and S$22.92 per month) no longer exist.
