Star Citizen 2.4 LIVE First Impressions

Greetings Fellow Gamers! Star Citizen has just launched version 2.4 of their alpha testing game client, which introduces for the very first time, persistence in the Star Citizen Universe! This includes the first introduction of in-game currency (called Alpha United Earth Credits or aUEC for short) which can be earned by completing missions. You can then use these credits to purchase items from shops such as clothing, armour and weapons. Here are some screenshots of what you can expect when you first log into Star Citizen now. Enjoy!

Hmm, I quite fancy this Black and Gold Flight suit. Think I'll just grab it with aUEC.

The last shop available at Port Olisar, Live Fire Weapons. Kind of says it all lol.

The selection of weapons is pretty limited, but impressive nonetheless.

Called up my favourite ship, the Aegis Sabre, ready for action!

Anyone know where I can download custom user.cfg? The one I found online, doesn't really work, can go hangar but never lets me load into the universe

@BlurKillerEX - not sure were u successful in loading Universe prior to 2.4?

if you've been trying to access Universe since 2.4 was released - CIG is looking into reported stability issues (server side). So it's not so much the user.cfg but more CIG side. if you need the detailed link let me know.

also if you want to consult a larger SC community, can just let us know.

I did get in at first, but was laggy even at low settings, so i looked for some custom configs. Now I can't load in...

maybe try again tomorrow. and when you say can't load in, was there an error message? or it just infinitely 'stalls' in the load screen?

also have u tried deleting USER folder? not that it would help much but maybe can try that.

It just stalls at the loading screen. Forever.
Will deleting the folder tonight, thanks. Its getting late now

BlurKillerEx - u managed to join our chat right? just checking. otherwise, pls PM me. some who have encountered the bug have kept attempting to join and managed to join Universe eventually.
