Not all countries can use it as tourist. e.g. in Japan, you have to be on business purpose to use this(the immigration officer allowed me to use it at the spot, but mentioned not to use it for non-business purpose). I wonder how they check whether you are on business or just based on trust.
But how can they tell if you say you are here for potential business discussion?

Is to ask you do not abuse the priviledged.
For TW, Currently I can use speedy immigration clearance but then the E-gate will be faster and more useful.

Ok. Din know such things exists. So can use it in the apec countries?

Nineteen APEC economies are fully participating members to the ABTC scheme: Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Chile, China, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, the Russian Federation, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, and Viet Nam.

Some countries u can stay longer than normal social/tourist visa.

Example, Vietnam 90 days.. I used my apec once and after, every time in custom, they will ask me to show my apec, I told them I don't want to use but next trip, asked me again.

I totally agree the Taiwan Main Station underground is o_O!!
if you guys are using TMS to get to the airport express, use BEIMEN 北門 instead!! Fast and easy to navigate!! No more wasting time going thru the maze in TMS.

Initially thought u got 24.85 rates.
See too fast.

My recent trip was my 1st time using the Speedy lane using my disability...

They tried to stop and ask me how many Apec I have... I just say I am person with disability and show them my white cane, then I told them these are my family members, then they just can't be bother with me further... 😅

Currently in the air going back to SG. Quite a good trip exploring taipei, the culture n the ppl.

Clearing the custom was fast, didnt use the egate. Again 1 of the fastest.

I will want to visit taiwan again but out of taipei.

A bit of review on airlines, this trip I went bkk and taipei.

In preference order,

Food, sq, eva, tg
Seat, eva, sq, tg
Entertainment, sq, tg, eva
Wifi, eva, sq, tg no wifi.
Air stewardess, tg, eva, sq

may I ask how do u all make reservations for Taiwan hotels ? Directly on their website or via apps like Agoda and booking?

Could you pls share your ways of doing, I’m getting kinda of confused (Some either asked me for deposits or precharge my card - is this even normal?)

TIA :D

for payment wise, i paid by my cc, though i think u still can pay upon check in (never do that b4)
but if u choose pay later function (which will deduct the amt closer to the date) then u will likely be paying more due to their Fx rate

Mind I ask do u pay with your credit card via Agoda immediately? Or do u pay cash upon check in ? Thank you

CC via Agoda. Been using Agoda for many yrs. No loyalty to a particular platform, I will normally compare price among before booking

Why pay more for their fx rates?
