Hi, I need some advice regarding SGD to MYR transfers/remittance.
Besides using CIMB/Maybank SG to CIMB/Maybank MY, between Instarem, Revolut, Wise and YouTrip, which would be the best choice for occasional (1-3 times per year) SGD-MYR transfers?
I see, but I'm asking abt transferring SGD-MYR to be received in MY bank account, not exchanging to use there. Thanks for sharing though!
If it’s not of too much trouble, could you help do a quick comparison of the spot rate + fee (of transferring $1k SGD-MYR) between CIMB, YT and Wise? I don’t have CIMB and YT accounts so I can’t access their exact actual rates/fees.The best i tried is to use own CIMB SG to my own CIMB MY.
The transfer rate is quite on par with youtrip/instaram.
than, if i need pay payment etc to others direct MY bank, i will use my CIMB MY account to transfer to other MY bank.
I tested using my Maybank SG account direct transfer to other's MY bank account, the rate are not good.
I tried using my SG POSB bank and direct transfer to others MY bank account, the rate are bad.

Are there any fees charged for the transfers?
CIMB SG - CIMB MY = 3.309 (No fee as both CIMB SG and CIMB MY are my personal account)
youtrip exchange SGD to MY = 3.311
instaram exchange SGD to MY = 3.3105
Just done a check on 3 different platform.
Yes I’m aware that CIMB doesn’t charge any extra fee since they’ve already included a small markup in their rate.As mention : (No fee as both CIMB SG and CIMB MY are my personal account)
For youtrip and instarem - no fee also as its just an exchange inside the E-wallet.
I do not know if there will be a fee if you were to use Youtrip or Instarem and transfer money to a MY bank account. never try before.

YT and Instarem do charge fees for money transfers but I’m unable to determine the exact amounts before signing up. I thought account holders are able view these fees, bummer!
Anyway, thanks for your help!
