Strange, TODAY newspaper mentioned S$ is getting weak. Ringgit got stronger a few days. Now the exchange rate looks good again.

Can I actually directly change $ from them..?

Not sure, my colleague was tempted to try but never did. In between, not very sure, just buy couple of RM worth of stuff and use SG$ to pay. If you can produce SG$100 better still. But most of us use SG$50 instead. Nowadays, if I intended visit any Tesco store when in MY, I will definitely get some loose change using SG$ from TESCO. Although not much but stil "Song" with the rate. Most of my friends bring in more $SG and shop at TESCO to change RM by paying SG$

Yes, pay in SG$. Exchange rate stated at cashier when you pay they return you in RM. So buy cheap stuff just to get changes in RM
