I was hoping SGD will strengthen so i can change SGD2k 1 shot to prepare for CNY. I prefer their Wo Lai Ye bak kwa than SG ones.

Supply and demand.. more people exchanging to MYR for holiday and preparation for CNY..Normally rate drop during Dec

Someone told me he got 306 from a money changer in Chinatown, mid last week.

Looking at the rates shared here and on Cash Changer, I find that rate quite hard to believe.

Do frequent visitors to that area think it's possible? Is there an "unusual/generous" changer there somewhere? Inside CK or elsewhere?

Last evening was 3 flat at sengkang Compass One.
While that place usually gives not so good rates, but the deterioration of the exchange rate within a month or two is amazing.

Anyone has an idea what's happening at the big picture?

Still have around 500 ringgits left over from last time I changed rm3000 at one go.

Looks like jialat leow. Likely not able to make it for CNY
